Alastair Kirk

Deputy Home Manager

My name is Alastair Kirk and I am the Deputy Home Manager at Highfield.  I have worked in the caring industry since leaving university in 2012. I have worked in a variety of roles, including Care, Learning and Development, Compliance, and Management.

Having completed a Teaching course at York St John University, I made the decision to begin working in a care home, where I quickly found a passion and a love for meeting new people and doing my part to help them and their loved ones live long, engaging and enjoyable lives.

Developing from a Care role into a Training role, 4 years after starting in the care home, granted me the opportunity to instil the same passions and motivation I had developed to others, doing my part to set high standards and develop a new generation of Care staff.

From a Training role, I took my first role in care home Management and developed my own understanding of the ‘behind-the-scenes’ details of care homes.  I particularly enjoy ensuring care standards are being met, as well as compliance requirements, ensuring the highest level of care is being delivered to our residents.

I am a family man with 4 brilliant children, and an avid Blackpool Football Club and country music fan! I look forward to welcoming you to our home.
