Activities at Kings Park Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Kings Park Care Home
Employee of the Month for June
Congratulations to Georgiana who has been nominated by residents, relatives and team members as Employee of the Month for June!
Georgiana is a Senior Care Assistant who has only been at Kings Park for a couple of months but who’s positive and bubbly character always shines through.
Thank you Georgiana for all you do!
Happy Birthday Trisha!
Our lovely Trisha has had two parties to celebrate her birthday this year! One with her family last weekend and then one yesterday with us on her actual birthday.
We love welcoming Trisha’s dog, Jonty, when he comes to visit and he knows right where to go to see his mum!
Lunch with Smudge
We know dogs aren’t allowed at the table, but we make a special exception for Smudge as he is so loved by our residents on Memory Lane and always makes us all smile!
He often calms our residents as he loves to be stroked and he quietly barks his approval. One thing for sure though, he always delights everyone!
Cool Creature Teachers
Thankfully our air conditioning kept our recent visitors from The Creature Teachers cool and comfortable while their owner Lisa and her colleague Jade once again gave us so much information about every animal who came to see us!
Echo the beautiful Barn Owl delighted us as she showed her wing span and graceful glide. We also met Sunshine the ferret and her friend, a millipede, an albino corn snake and Marjory the very cute guinea pig.
Residents and the Team were mesmerised by the animals and also by all the fun facts and stories that Lisa told us. We all so look forward to their visits as it is always exciting and interesting!
Westival 2022
Delighted to be at Westival 2022 for a Family Day of fun and action!
Do come and see us for a chance to win a hamper and some toys and treats for children.
It’s great to be supporting the West Moors community with Moors Manor Care Home and West Moors Town Council
Have a great day everyone!
Tour de Barchester
Barchester care homes up and down the country have been taking part in a grueling 211 mile cycling challenge from Bradford to London to raise money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation, which supports older people and other adults living with a disability or mental health problems by helping them to connect or re-connect with others in their local communities.
Over four days, from July 5th- 8th, the team will cycle from Yorkshire to London, stopping at 15 care homes and one hospital across all four of Barchester’s divisions to meet well-wishers, have a well-earned break and refuel before continuing on their way.
Here at Kings Park, we wish them all the luck and have been cheering them on with regular updates from the Tour de Barchester team. Good luck and well done.
