Activities at Middletown Grange Care Home
We aim to provide a variety of activities that will both mentally and physically stimulate the people we support. Residents have a range of different needs and interests, and it is crucial that these are reflected in the activities available, so that each individual is able to participate to the best of their ability. We organise both group and individual social events that everyone is welcome to take part in; there is a weekly outing to local places of interest, including the garden centre and the local farms, parks and museums. In addition, we enjoy regular visits from entertainers and even exotic animals. We also host events such as 'Beach Day' that relatives and friends are encouraged to participate in. Getting involved in charities is a big part of our ethos, so events such as 'PJs for Pudsey' and pirate-themed days are regularly hosted to raise money for different foundations, including the Alzheimer’s Society.

Arts and Crafts Afternoon
We put our craft making skills to the test this week. avoiding the storms and rain outside and making some colourful additions to our activity room here at Middletown Grange.
It's so important that we keep our hands active and it's lovely to see everyone getting stuck in and coming up with some great ideas.
If anybody would like to come and join us for a crafts event please get in touch with us or message us directly through facebook.
Puddings and Ice Cream
Pudding's and Ice Cream!!
Yesterday we celebrated our monthly pudding club before cooling off with ice lollies in the garden on what was the hottest day of the year! Our fantastic chef Toby and his team prepared some lovely deserts for everyone and our visitors in the afternoon, but we still had room for one more treat!!
Summer Fete Party 2024
We celebrated the summer in style on Saturday, by hosting our Summer Fete 2024. We were joined by family and friends of the home along with The Piano Man and the Sax man putting on performances throughout the afternoon. Henna Tattoos and plenty of delicious BBQ food laid on by Toby and his team were just some of the highlights on the day.
Thank you to everyone that came! We all had a wonderful day and cant wait for next years
The Ukulele Band Returns!
We loved welcoming the Ukulele Band into Middletown Grange this week. The residents loved getting involved in the singing and dancing and even the staff couldn't help themselves getting up and having a boogie!
A trip to Millet's Farm
We had a lovely trip out this week to Millets Farm to see the animals. We packed up a delicious picnic helped by our chef and headed out for the day taking in the sites of some lovely farm animals, along with feeding them and enjoying the beautiful countryside. We even treated ourselves to an ice cream before heading back to tell everyone about our day.
Ball Exercise Class with Alfie
Exercise and mind stimulation is important for all of us. That's why we love to have Alfie come down with his ball class for us at Middletown Grange. Whether it be throwing, kicking or catching it helps us keep fit, but more importantly keeps us moving even on days when we dont quite feel up to it! Thanks Alfie and see you
again soon.
