Activities at Middletown Grange Care Home
We aim to provide a variety of activities that will both mentally and physically stimulate the people we support. Residents have a range of different needs and interests, and it is crucial that these are reflected in the activities available, so that each individual is able to participate to the best of their ability. We organise both group and individual social events that everyone is welcome to take part in; there is a weekly outing to local places of interest, including the garden centre and the local farms, parks and museums. In addition, we enjoy regular visits from entertainers and even exotic animals. We also host events such as 'Beach Day' that relatives and friends are encouraged to participate in. Getting involved in charities is a big part of our ethos, so events such as 'PJs for Pudsey' and pirate-themed days are regularly hosted to raise money for different foundations, including the Alzheimer’s Society.

Life at Middletown Grange Care Home
A Special Visit
Residents had a fantastic visit from a miniature horse called Glory, there were lots of smiles and communicating going on, which was lovely to see. Everyone enjoyed the day and had fun.
Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens
We took the residents and their families to the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens where we all had a lovely day enjoying the sunshine and seeing different animals.
Pub Outing
Staff members and residents had a lovely trip out to the local pub where they had lunch. Everyone had a lovely time with delicious food and some Pimm's.
Pamper Day
Residents enjoyed a relaxing beauty treatment session. They had their hair and nails done, face masks and food spa while having wine and nibbles.
Family Fun Day
Residents and their family members had a lovely time in Witney, where they did some shopping and went to the pub for lunch. We had a BBQ, raffle, saxophone player and lots of fun garden games for our family fun day. We managed to raise £88 for the Stroke society and it was a huge success!
The Magic Table
We are delighted to announce that we have just had a Magic Table installed, which is an interactive light projector, designed to support residents living with dementia by keeping them engaged through specialised games.
The light projections respond to hand and arm movement, allowing residents to stay stimulated and, most of all, have fun!
