Activities at Middletown Grange Care Home

We aim to provide a variety of activities that will both mentally and physically stimulate the people we support. Residents have a range of different needs and interests, and it is crucial that these are reflected in the activities available, so that each individual is able to participate to the best of their ability. We organise both group and individual social events that everyone is welcome to take part in; there is a weekly outing to local places of interest, including the garden centre and the local farms, parks and museums. In addition, we enjoy regular visits from entertainers and even exotic animals. We also host events such as 'Beach Day' that relatives and friends are encouraged to participate in. Getting involved in charities is a big part of our ethos, so events such as 'PJs for Pudsey' and pirate-themed days are regularly hosted to raise money for different foundations, including the Alzheimer’s Society.

Musical Madness

Musical Madness

Staff and residents all got involved as the bells and maracas came out. We played along to the Dreamboats and Petticoats CD and some residents were even up on their feet dancing!

African Day

Residents enjoyed an African-themed day at the home, having animal encounters with a snake called George, an African pygmy hedgehog and a bearded dragon, which was very exciting for them. Then we had an entertainer in to get the party started before an Australian-themed BBQ, which included food such as biltong and boerewors.

Bake Sake

Middletown raised £65 from their bake sale today for the British Heart Foundation. Well done!

Saxophone Concert

Residents enjoyed a relaxing time in the garden listening to saxophonist, Andy Hook. He performed many songs that we recognised so we could sing along, and we even sang 'Happy Birthday' to a resident's wife, who was enjoying the sun with us.
