Activities at Mill Court Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

When the babies came to play

Who doesn't love the sound of little-ones having fun. Intergenerational play is so important to both our residents and the children. They form beautiful bonds through not just words but actions, movement and touch alone. It is great to see everyone having a great time we cant wait to welcome them back again.

Knit and Natter

When its rainy outside and you fancy a chat and a cuppa with a friend then what better place. Mill Court's group is expanding. Everyone is currently making blankets for the Cats Protection a charity that is close to residents hearts. But you don't have to be a resident to join in just a friendly ear and a willingness to learn. We love to see new faces.

The Jazzettes

We had an amazing visit from The Jazzettes! They played a range of all our favourite songs with their very own Jazzy spin on them. The residents and team were dancing away and everyone had that Saturday Spirit in their soul! 

We cant wait for them to return, we ad so much fun and loved the music.

Mercedes-Benz World

We recently took some residents to visit Mercedes-Benz World at the Brooklands race track in Weybridge, Surrey.We absolutely loved seeing all the cars on display, from SUV's to racing cars, old and new. We also got to watch some cars racing round the track which was thrilling to see. Our favourite attraction was the dismantled race car suspended from the ceiling. Such a magnificent sight! Mercedes-Benz World were so accommodating and we had such a fantastic day!

New Years Eve

New Years Eve at Mill Court was wonderful! We enjoyed a fantastic performance earlier in the day from Helena who sung beautifully and had Jane and Archie dancing away.In the evening, we all came together for a fabulous dinner party where live music provided the perfect ambiance for a New Years Eve celebration. We hope everyone enjoyed their new year as much as we did and hope that 2025 brings you a lot of happiness. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Christmas Party Time!

We had a very festive and fun Christmas Party!  The beloved singer, Becky, showered us with Christmas classics and festive favourites as the residents danced and sang the evening away. our kitchen team made a wonderful spread and of course we enjoyed some delicious mulled wine. We have absolutely loved getting ready to spend our first Christmas in our new home alongside all our wonderful residents. We are already looking forward to many more here together.
