Activities at Mill Court Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Mill Court Care Home

Christmas Party Time!

We had a very festive and fun Christmas Party!  The beloved singer, Becky, showered us with Christmas classics and festive favourites as the residents danced and sang the evening away. our kitchen team made a wonderful spread and of course we enjoyed some delicious mulled wine. We have absolutely loved getting ready to spend our first Christmas in our new home alongside all our wonderful residents. We are already looking forward to many more here together.

Christmas Wreath Making

We would like to say a massive thank you to Tracy for sprinkling some Christmas magic at Mill Court this week with her wonderful wreath making class. The residents had a wonderful time and the wreaths are just beautiful. It is so lovely to get crafting and using our skills, particularly at this time of year.

Scrabble time!

Did someone say Scrabble? The room buzzed with playful banter and the occasional groan of frustration here at Mill Court. It wasn’t just the points on the board that mattered, it was the stories, the friendships, and the quiet moments of connection that made the game truly special.Of course a true gaming session wouldn't be complete without some delicious home made cake!

A Christmas visit

We welcomed the children from Shalford Infant School to our home this week. They sang some wonderful Christmas songs and later had a story reading from our residents which they absolutely loved. Everyone was overjoyed by the visit from the children and their teachers, they really did spread the Christmas Joy! We cant wait to see them all again and hope they all have a wonderful Christmas with loved ones.
Christmas Table Centrepieces

Christmas Table Centrepieces

We had an amazing time at Mill Court creating Christmas table centrepieces through the live virtual event workshop hosted by master florist Kathryn Delve. It was fantastic to see everyone's creativity come to life as we enter the festive period!

Mill Court's Official Opening

Our new luxury care home in Shalford, has opened its doors in style, with a Grand Opening performed by Councillor Sallie Barker, Mayor of Guildford, in front of invited guests from the local community.
