Activities at Mount House and Severn View
Our Activities team is a dedicated group whom strive to ensure that the residents of Mount House have a broad range of meaningful activities daily which reflect the needs, wants and interests of all our residents. From our larger events including Garden Parties in our spectacular grounds to birthday celebrations with live musical entertainment we always have a broad range of events to suit all of our wonderful residents. We also go on a number of outings throughout the year in and around Shropshire, many of which are linked to community organisations whom cater specifically for interests of the people we support.
Something we have always been passionate about here at The Mount is Music therapy and we offer a diverse musical programme of live music and entertainers throughout the year to suit all tastes. Food theme days and tasting afternoons, as well as regular Cookery classes and chair yoga are on offer as well as beauty therapy and massage.
We aim to consistently provide a high quality activities programme for all of our residents and ensure that regardless of limitations and circumstances each individual has the best possible experience within our home, through both a physical and mentally stimulating person-centred approach.

Life at Mount House and Severn View
Chinese New Year!
Mount House has been celebrating Chinese new year.
We had a special lunch menu created by our wonderful head chef Liz and themed activities all this week. We also had a Chinese new year afternoon tea and everyone really enjoyed all of our celebrations.
Burns Night Celebrations!
We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Burns night at Mount House and Severn View.
We enjoyed a morning of reading out some of Robert Burns' wonderful poetry and talked about all of his creative works. At lunch, our residents were treated to a Traditional Scottish menu by our amazing chef, Liz, and enjoyed Cullen Skink, Scottish cottage stew, Gigot chops, and Cranachan just to name a few, and everyone said how lovely it all tasted.
We followed the afternoon with a Burns night quiz and sang along to Auld-lang-syne. Everyone really had a lovely day!
International Chocolate Cake Day!
Mount House celebrated International Chocolate Cake day and our chef, Darren, made a fabulous mixture of chocolate cake and our residents loved it!
We had a wonderful afternoon eating the delicious cake over a cup of tea and great conversation!
ConneX is Live!
We are excited to announce that Mount House has joined the ConneX system! ConneX is a modern Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool that helps us manage our customer interactions more effectively.
This smart, digital platform allows us to track customer details, communications, interests, and much more – all in one place.
With ConneX, we can provide a smoother, more personalised experience for our customers and continue to deliver exceptional service.
Christmas Day at Mount House
Mount House had a very merry Christmas.
Everyone enjoyed opening their presents in the morning, and then we all joined together around the table for a fantastic feast created by our brilliant head chef, Liz.
Everyone had a great day. Big smiles all around.
Christmas Jumper Day!
for Christmas Jumper Day staff didn't let us down and wore their jumpers with pride and the residents thought they all looked amazing.
In the afternoon we all enjoyed a visit from Shrewsbury school and one of their pupils bought along his saxophone and played some wonderful music and the other students sung Christmas carols it truly was amazing.
Staff residents and family members were all blown away at the talent and it really was a lovely Christmassy feel around the whole home.
