Activities at Newton House Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Newton House Care Home

Royal Parks London

Across our services our residents have enjoyed a wonderful live virtual talk about starlings, one of the UK’s most gregarious birds, hosted by Rachel Dowse from The Royal Parks London.

Rachel examined our long history with this bird and the importance of common species to our lives. Our residents had the opportunity to find out more about the great murmuration and why we need to pay special attention to these beauties before it's too late.

The virtual experience was truly enjoyed by all.

Brilliant Entertainment from Nick Glover

Residents have been thoroughly entertained by the brilliant Nick Glover, singing some of their all-time favourite songs. It was wonderful to see so many happy smiles, dancing, singing and residents just really enjoying the moment. We love to celebrate life at Newton House and ensure that residents days are filled by fun, love and laughter. We are looking forward to welcoming Nick back in a fortnights time, to celebrate burns night!

A Trip to the Pantomime

Oh no you didn’t….. Oh yes we did!

Residents were delighted with a visit to our local theatre to watch ‘Rapunzel’ in pantomime

We all had such a wonderful time, and the ladies embraced, every minute of the fun and festive atmosphere.

New Year Wishes

Residents have started the new year with fun, love and togetherness. We asked our residents how they would like to spend this lovely new year, and we loved their replies.

Resident Vonnie said ‘full of fun & laughter, then I will be happy’.

Donkey Sanctuary

Across our services, Residents enjoyed a fantastic virtual tour of the Donkey Sanctuary Manchester.  Residents were thrilled to meet the lovely herd of donkeys, including Henry and his best friend Tiny Tim and to learn more about their every day care.  They were introduced to the sanctuary’s work and the impact they make to the lives of donkeys in need worldwide.  The virtual experience was truly enjoyed by all.

A Visit from Santa
