Activities at Newton House Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Sonia, General Manager of Newton House said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating 20 years of loyal service with Cheryl. She has demonstrated her dedication and loyalty to this home and its residents year after year. Valentine's Day Celebrations!

Love was in the air at Newton House as we enjoyed celebrating Valentine’s Day. Residents had so much fun, as they took part in a Valentine's-themed photo shoot and really got into the Valentine’s Day spirit.

We celebrated the day of love with a good old-fashioned party and live music performed by Steve Carmel, which, of course, involved lots of singing, and it wasn’t too long before residents were moving and grooving on the dance floor.

Mike serenaded us with his absolutely stunning voice, and everyone had a beautiful time. After lunch, we gathered together in the main coffee lounge for a Friday friendship group, with wine & cakes as we made each other friendship bracelets.

Real Bread Week

Our ‘Ready, Steady, Bake' group celebrated real bread week, as we set about making a delicious loaf and some tasty bread rolls.

There’s definitely nothing more satisfying than the aroma of fresh bread baking in the oven 💕

It’s been a ‘Wonderful Wednesday with many activities taking place throughout the home, with our fabulous residents enjoying a day full of happiness and laughter.

After lunch, we sat back with a nice glass of wine and some tasty snacks as we watched the super-talented André Rieu in concert. Definitely a popular musician amongst the ladies.
