Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Residents across our services had a lovely time joining Emily and Marie-Therese from the Wallace Collection, for a virtual introduction to Reubens' Rainbow Landscape.
Residents truly enjoyed the sensory walk through one of the museum’s most famous landscape paintings.
Everyone who joined had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to put their creative skills to the test by painting some landscapes of our their in the coming days!
Art Classes
Residents were delighted to welcome Deb back from Gratitude 43 for a Halloween themed art class.
Using various materials & resources to create their very own tea light holders. There was lots of teamwork involved & artistic creativity!
Residents were delighted with their final product & couldn’t wait to show each other. Gill was so excited with hers, showing all of her care team when she returned to her community, saying “look what I’ve made today, isn’t it amazing”
Spooktacular Party
Our Halloween themed day started off by welcoming our amazing friends from Poplar Farm School to our Halloween Party, with live musical entertainment from Steve Carmel & some fabulous Halloween games for all to enjoy.
World Animal Day with petting party
What better way to start the day than a visit with the amazing Michelle's Animal Therapy & Petting Party for a morning of animal therapy with her amazing pets! With an array of the most beautiful & well trained animals it was the most precious of mornings with snuggles, meaningful conversations & discussions created Diego was a superstar of delivering joy by visiting residents whom are nursed in bed, he brought so much happiness to them
A huge thank you Michelle for always ensuring that your visits are personal centred & for sharing your beautiful animals with us, Pet therapy at its very best
Belton Garden Centre trip
During a recent friendship group, the lovely ladies requested a trip out to the garden centre, and when our residents ask, we always try our very best to deliver So we ventured out for our second trip of the week and headed to the beautiful garden centre. It was wonderful to see the Christmas displays and shop around before heading to the restaurant for refreshments.
Janet was delighted to see her daughter there and said “you know what, she really is good to me” as her face was beaming with joy.
Gentlemen's Club on tour
Our weekly gentleman’s club is proving very popular, and this week it was the Gents turn to venture out on the minibus, visiting the Grantham Snooker Club
There was some great teamwork between the gents as they battled it out with a game of pool. Some excellent shots were taken & some very impressive potting! An incredible shot on the black saw Tony being victorious, & the gents shook hands.
Gents club is an excellent way to unite the gentleman together to make and keep friendships and also helps in continuing their hobbies that they enjoyed in their younger years.
