Activities at Queens Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

Tisha Patel
Activities Assistant
I love being a part of the Activities Team so that I can make some contribution to making residents' lives and daily living better by giving them Namaste Therapy because of my interest in making residents happy.
My role is to give therapy to the residents. The therapy involves welcoming them: hand massage, head massage, relaxation exercise, breathing exercise, nail care, hydration, sense of touch, sense of flavour, reminiscence, and relaxing in the therapy room with diffusors on with the relaxing essential oils.
Celebrating life at Queens Court Care Home

Art therapy session
Our residents enjoyed a wonderful art therapy session.
There’s something truly special about watching creativity come to life—whether it’s through painting, drawing, or simply exploring colours and textures. The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and a real sense of calm as everyone expressed themselves in their own unique way.
Art therapy isn’t just about making something beautiful; it’s about connection, relaxation, and giving our residents a chance to share their stories without words.
We’re so proud of the amazing artwork created and even more grateful for the joy it brought to everyone involved.

Chick Watch
Residents, staff and visitors had a magical time with our newly hatched chicks which we nurtured from egg to cage!
Resident Pat couldn’t keep away and said that she loved the feelings of warmth and comfort she felt from holding one of the fluffy friends. Every resident derived benefit from this special time and we were very sad to let them go.
