"I felt very confident and safe as soon as I arrived after my stay in hospital after operation. I had previous experience of this care home and some of the staff remembered me and it shows good management that some staff were still there 9 years later. Food was excellent and all staff were pleasant and knowledgeable and my stay was very uplifting and I felt much better after my stay. Glad I was there!!"

"My mother (and previously, my father) has been a resident for three years now. To feel she is safe and lovingly and sympathetically looked after is priceless. She is safe, very comfortable, treated with dignity and kindness. The staff are everything. When we visit, we feel we are popping in to see Mum at her home, not some facility. All her needs are met and she is happy."

"A most enjoyable experience. The surroundings are very restful and interesting, the food is delicious but most importantly, the staff are all charming, caring and understanding. I am almost glad that I had an accident and therefore, had the opportunity to stay at Barchester Queens Court Care Home, it was as good as having a holiday!"

"Moving my father into Barchester Queens Court Care Home was the best decision I could have made for him and I highly recommend the home for a friend or loved one. I live in Melbourne so it was imperative for my own health and well-being to find a home that could offer my father impeccable care, support, valued respect, integrity, individuality and compassion. I transferred my father, a prolific artist and previous head of art department, to Queens Court in May 2023. There he was always well cared for, kempt and clean-shaven (something that was very important to him). His meals were appetising and wholesome and he was offered stimulation and connection. The managers are approachable and compassionate with high standards which filter throughout the home and the staff are respectful, caring and friendly. I am eternally grateful for the communication and care he received during his final year at Queens Court. The dignity and patience that was shown made such a world of difference to his final days. Thank you team Queens Court."

"On an open day, I visited this care home which is on the same road as my home. I was impressed and volunteered to provide some community entertainment for the residents. All the staff are happy, caring, intelligent and skilled, managed by a very competent manager. The atmosphere is excellent for the residents who are very contented and well looked after. Special efforts are made for entertainment and outings for the residents by a great team of entertainment staff. There are three professional chefs who cook all the excellent meals, cakes and biscuits from scratch!"

"I visit my friend and am happy about her care. She appears to be content although she is not really talking now which is distressing for me. The staff are all very kind and patient and gentle with her and she is usually dressed quite well. Her hair needs attention quite often."

"The staff at Queens Court Care Home made my mother's transition from home to care home effortless and seamless. They treated her with dignity and respect and afforded her space to settle. There was little fuss but genuine warmth. Always smiles welcomed me, the anxious daughter on every visit and both my mother and I have experienced nothing but efficient kindliness."

"Staff very attentive to visitors as well as residents. A nice varied programme of activities and outings. Very important. Very helpful physiotherapy service which encouraged us to additional help on return home. Pleasant environment. Trains a trifle noisy. Thank you."

"My father has been extremely well looked after during his six weeks at Queens Court. He was very reluctant to go into a home, but the management and staff made him very welcome. The constant care and attention have actually improved his overall alertness during his stay. Whilst he is glad to be returning home, he has enjoyed his time in Queens Court."

"The staff were all very friendly, kind and patient. On the whole, I received excellent care and would recommend. Three staff in particular, but all the staff were good. The rooms were nice, kept clean, as were the washing facilities. The food was good and varied. For general, overall care I would recommend Queens Court highly."

"My aunt has been a resident for the last 3 and a half months. We have all been very happy with the level of care she has received. The staff have been very gentle and caring towards her. As a fluent Italian speaker, she has particularly enjoyed speaking to one person, who has made her feel very happy! She is leaving to go home otherwise she would have remained at Queens Court. Thank you for your care and attention to detail."

"My mother lived at Queens Court from June 2019 - March 2020, where she died aged 88. She suffered from dementia and was effectively paralysed from the waist down. She was not always the easiest of people to deal with because of her losses of mental lucidity. Despite all this, the staff at Queens Court could not have been more caring, understanding and patient with her, to which she did respond I was pleased to hear on many occasions. The atmosphere at Queens Court was always welcoming and friendly, her room spotless and airy, and the staff full of smiles and cheery conversation, as well as being factual and helpful if asked pertinent questions on my mother's condition. Guests were always given refreshment and nothing seemed too much trouble. I saw other care homes, and there was no question that Queens Court was head and shoulders way above many others. The manager and her whole team do an outstanding job and should be hugely congratulated in these very difficult times. Highly recommended."

"I cannot recommend Queens Court highly enough. It is both professional and friendly with an overriding feeling of safety. The rooms are airy and fastidiously clean. The meals are of a very high standard and the residents are looked after extremely well. But the one thing that really stands out for me is the kindness of the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for the residents and the visitors and I have enjoyed many delicious treats including a birthday cake. Thank you so much for looking after my aunt so well."

"The care provided during my Mum's stay at Queens Court has been exceptional. The staff is patient, professional, and kind. The home is clean, bright, and spacious. It never feels miserable when I go there. It is in a great location for visitors and always welcoming. My Mum told me she was very happy due to all the activities and day trips. The meals are varied and of high quality. During the lockdown, I never worried that she wasn't being properly cared for. I would definitely recommend this home."

"I thank every single member of staff at Queens Court for the wonderful and loving care and support they gave my Mother-in-law during her whole time there, all the way until her last day and also for all the support they gave us. A wonderful care home. A home from home. Thank you so much. We cherish all our lovely memories with Mum and all of you there. Looking forward to the next summer tea party and barbecue in the garden. Amazing carers and manager who in my heart became friends. Thank you. All the very best to all of you. Lots of love from the whole family."

"On Sunday last I went to visit a very special lady at the Queens Court Nursing Home. I was greeted immediately at the front door with simple pleasantries. After a slight confusion (my friend is registered using her married name, not the name I knew her by) with regard to my friend's surname, I was led to the side entrance. I signed a form and was instructed to wash my hands. I was impressed by the due diligence. I was then taken to the serene and well-kept garden. It appeared very welcoming, with others socially distanced, yet enjoying the company of apparent loved ones. My friend arrived shortly after I was seated. Her smiles immediately told me she was in good hands. Tea and cake arrived shortly into my visit. Conversation flowed with ease despite her faltering memory. The visit ended far too abruptly (30 minutes). Without a doubt, I will gladly recommend this very professional operation. Looking forward to returning."

"My 3-week stay was very comfortable and fulfilled exactly, as a post-hospital care home, my need for a place to recover strength before going home. All the staff were very helpful and the caregivers always kind to residents, no matter the time of day or night. Unfortunately due to Covid-19, some things could not be offered but would I come back again? Yes, certainly. As to value for money, I expect it is, I just have nothing to compare it as I write."

"My mum entered Queens Court a month or so prior to the Covid-19 lockdown following a stroke in January this year. From the first visit I made, I have been impressed by the level of engagement and genuine interest in my mother's wellbeing. Following her stroke and associated loss of sight, my sister and I have taken great comfort in the care, attention and quality of the care she has received."

"Moving my great aunt to Queens Court five years ago from her home was very daunting and scary for us all. We only have very positive things to say about Queens Court. The care and attention that has always been shown is to be commended. We are so happy we chose Queens Court and pleased to say that my great aunt settled very quickly into the very safe and secure surroundings."

"Barchester's care of my mother is generally very good. It could be improved in two ways. i) She could be given more help using her iPad and watching things on the TV which would improve her life a lot. ii) Staff often fail to note down or inform her of when I (or my sister) am coming to visit."

"Three of our friends have been residents at Queens Court. Two of them have now gone on to meet their maker. From our very first visit, we were impressed by the high standard of care and attention to detail given to each resident. The provision across the board is five stars. As regular visitors, we are made to feel part of the family. We are invited to decision making meetings and kept constantly informed of our friend's wellbeing."
