Activities at Rose Lodge Care Home

Residents had a fabulous morning with the in-house entertainment by KJ and the Catt. We all loved singing along to the beautiful songs and of course lots of dancing too. All of the ladies received a bunch of flowers from Rose Lodge for Mothering Sunday.

Several loved ones took us up on our offer to join a special Sunday Roast with their Mothers, made by our amazing hospitality team.

High Sheriff Dr Bharatkumar Khetani joined residents at the home to view their facilities and enjoy refreshments on Wednesday 13th March just a couple of weeks before he is due to step down as High Sheriff. During the visit many topics were discussed but most were in regards to the work High Sheriff Dr Bharatkumar Khetani has been doing over the past year and the many events he and his wife, Pritty, have attended as well as the work the activities team at Rose Lodge do to enrich the lives of their residents.

High Sheriff Dr Bharatkumar Khetani and his wife were impressed by the work the home team do every day, especially the variety of activities the home have going on like their community knit and natter which takes place every month as well as their more frequent activities like bingo and games night.

As part of our International Women’s Day celebrations, Residents from across our services were thrilled to join tour guide, Mandy Morrow, for an exciting talk about some Legendary London Ladies.

Mandy shared the fascinating stories of eight ladies with us, from the one of the richest heiresses in the world to the original 'Roaring Girl'.

Everyone who participated truly enjoyed the experience and were delighted to take a walk down memory lane.

Across the country our homes and hospitals came together to find out which care home or hospital had the best Bingo players as we teamed up for Barchester’s Bingo Bonanza.

Residents were treated to some exciting virtual games of Bingo as part of Barchester’ very own game show series.

Everyone who participate had a fantastic time and enjoyed some friendly competition.

Our residents had a lovely morning with entertainment by KJ & the Catt. We all joined in singing along to the lovely songs and we also took to the dance floor which brought back lots of lovely memories for us.

Getting together with everyone and chatting to each other is good for us all. One of our residents requested the last song: 'We'll meet again'

Our Residents had a lovely morning at our local Tesco .  Tesco champion Julie invited us to come along  Julie set up her community room with some lovely cakes and biscuits  and refreshments  for us arriving ,  we all enjoyed chatting to each other  and Julie was telling us all about her job and the work she does out in the community.

Residents also had a lovely surprise Julie asked if one of our residents would like to go on the till and one  of our residents  said yes please  our resident said she  always wondered what it would be like scanning the shopping at the till , she  said she had such a lovely morning And it was an experience she will never forget . we only went for a visit  we did not expect one of our residents going on the till , we also   looked  around the store too with Julie and chatting with staff.
