Activities at Rose Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Jane Ritchie
Hello, my name is Jane and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Lodge and I have been here since 2010 .
My role is to engage and stimulate our residents by offering a range of activities for them to enjoy. I want to get everyone involved and make our home community and atmosphere as positive and welcoming as possible.
Making sure that our residents have things to do that they really enjoy doing is something that I am passionate about, It is so important to make sure that they are happy and enjoy all of the activities and events that we do with them. We enjoy creating new and special memories together.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Pancake Day
Residents enjoyed a lovely morning flipping pancakes in celebration of Shrove Tuesday.
January Employee of the Month
Congratulations to Activities Coordinator, Jane Ritchie, who was named as Rose Lodge's Employee of the Month for January.
Flower Arranging
Residents enjoy flower arranging in the morning. Flowers are donated every week by Janet & Jayne's, so a big thank you to them.
90th Birthday Celebrations
Resident, John, celebrated his 90th birthday at Rose Lodge in the company of family and friends. A special cake was made for him and he was also visited by Sean The Banjo Man.

Residents enjoyed an afternoon listening to music by The Banjo Man.
25 Years of Service
Congratulations to Head Chef, Diana, and Hairdresser, Heather, who both recently celebrated 25 years at Barchester.
