Activities at Rose Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Jane Ritchie
Hello, my name is Jane and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Lodge and I have been here since 2010 .
My role is to engage and stimulate our residents by offering a range of activities for them to enjoy. I want to get everyone involved and make our home community and atmosphere as positive and welcoming as possible.
Making sure that our residents have things to do that they really enjoy doing is something that I am passionate about, It is so important to make sure that they are happy and enjoy all of the activities and events that we do with them. We enjoy creating new and special memories together.

90th Birthday at Rose Lodge
Judith enjoyed her 90th birthday with a sing along. Other residents also joined in with the celebrations. Judith received a card, a present and lots of balloons, along with a lovely cake that was made by our very own chef.
Baking Cakes
There was lots of finger licking at Rose Lodge recently, as residents enjoyed baking cakes over the bank holiday Monday.
A Visit from the Kids
We were lucky enough to have children from both Wouldham and Burham primary schools to help with our community garden project. They helped with weeding and planting bulbs and plants. The flower beds are gradually being transformed with the help of the children, who not only brightened up the courtyard, but also brought energy and fun to the home. We are very grateful to both schools and also to our volunteer, Dennis Worcester, for all their continued support of this special project.
Knitting
One of the residents at Rose Lodge was enjoying knitting. She likes to show off some of the beautiful items that she has knitted. All of the items that residents knitt are donated to charity.
