Activities at Tennyson Wharf Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Chocolate Cake Day
Our residents were really enjoying national chocolate cake day. They each helped to mix the ingredients, which was then poured into two tins and left to bake. The residents enjoyed trying the yummy cakes.
Age On the Stage
Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire teamed up with our residents at Tennyson Wharf for a new style of talent show. Generations came together to show that talent has no age limit, helping to form and strengthen intergenerational friendships. Auditions were held with a Grand Finale which will take place at the New Theatre Royal on Februrary 22nd 2020!
Burns Night
Residents enjoyed a Burns night supper to celebrate Robert Burns. The residents had Cullen skint soup to start, followed by haggis, neaps and tatties, with cranican for dessert. We played Scottish music, recited some Burn’s poetry. We finished off by all taking part in Auld Lang Syne, Burn’s famous song.
Football Magic
It was a close fought battle as our residents enjoyed a game of table football with a difference. Using our new 'Magic Table' technology, it was an interactive experience which had a real wow factor.
