Activities at Wadhurst Manor Care Home
On a weekly basis we have many visitors to the home from the people like the University of the Third age and local small animal farms, who bring in their chickens and sheep. We also like to go out shopping and on day trips to local garden centres and when the weather is good picnics and tours of the beautiful local countryside. We have speciality days at the home which could be a theme of a country, or for specific times of year, including Halloween, Bonfire Night or Christmas. We have card games and art classes and a serious knitting team in the home who produce blankets and premature baby clothes for the local maternity unit.
Zoe Aldea
Hi, my name is Zoe and I am the Activities Lead at Wadhurst Manor.
I used to work with veterans for the Royal British Legion, and as an Art Studio Lead for a wonderful charity that built a village for people with learning disabilities.
I believe in the healing power of art, I feel strongly about building confidence and the wellness of our residents. My hobbies include Asian art and philosophy, acupuncture, yoga and martial arts. I believe art is a bridge that unites everyone no matter the race, beliefs or religion.

Life at Wadhurst Manor Care Home
Joining in the Village Christmas Fun
So much Christmas cheer in the village. We joined in the festivities and held a stall giving away goody bags, mince pies and lots of Christmas treats. It was also a chance to have a chat with some of the staff too.
Magic Table Afternoon
Three Generations having a wonderful time playing on our Magic Table. Full of interactive fun for all ages, come and give it a go for yourself.
Sing Smile & Shine Concert
Proving you are never to old to dress up and have a bit of fun, we had a fabulous afternoon with the Sing Smile & Shine performers, singing and dancing to lots of classic songs you couldn't help but join in.
Autumn Equinox
Wadhurst Manor's residents welcomed the Autumn Equinox by creating a thankfulness wreath. We each coloured a leaf then wrote what we are thankful for on the back. The wreath now has pride of place in our coffee lounge.
Fruity Kebabs
We invited Dudwell St Mary, one of our sister homes to an afternoon of creative fruity kebab making, after making our kebabs we all enjoyed the healthy treats together.
Bikers Breakfast
Local motorcycle enthusiasts joined Wadhurst Manor's residents for a free Biker’s Breakfast, bacon sarnie & a cuppa, on a sunny Sunday morning. The residents enjoyed seeing the motorcycles and meeting new friends.
