Care and facilities at Wadhurst Manor Care Home
Wadhurst Manor offers a range of care which includes general nursing care and care for those living with dementia. We also offer supplementary support to our residents and their families by providing end of life care, working closely with the support from the local hospice. Home is where you feel safe and secure enough to be yourself, which is why our indoor and outdoor environments are welcoming and relaxing with easy navigation, supporting freedom and independence within a safe space. Our bedrooms offer en-suite wet rooms, however there is also the option of extra luxury with our aided baths, where you can still enjoy a relaxing soak whatever your care needs.
We have beautiful grounds surrounding the home, where there is plenty of space for you to take exercise or just sit and watch the world go by.
The staff in the home try to maintain our residents independence for as long as possible with very carefully managed care and support, to allow everyone to access the activities and entertainment in the home. The home is set up with a nurse call system to enable our residents to alert the staff when they need help. There is access to the visiting hairdresser and podiatrist, and manicures can be booked. We have a team of experienced healthcare professionals who are here to support and answer questions on the home and the care we provide.
We are now using handheld digital technology called 'Enable' internally to develop, update and manage our care and life enrichment documentation for residents. We work with one of the UK’s major digital care home documentation providers and have a bespoke platform to manage documentation digitally which aligns with our wish to deliver the highest quality individual care and life enrichment. You will see our team members using hand-held devices as the care plans and life enrichment preferences will be accessed via the device on an App. This will mean that it may look like our teams are using their mobile telephones, rest assured this is not the case and all technology used in the home is there to support our residents and relatives. There are so many benefits in moving to using digital technology to care for our residents, and for the staff working at the home including improving communication and collaboration between teams, increasing accuracy of care intervention recording and becoming more environmentally friendly.
