Activities at The Warren Care Home

Here at The Warren, our activities team are always very busy thinking of new ways to keep residents active, both physically and mentally. We have regular trips out in the minibus, both locally and further a field, including the London Eye and the Thames River Trip), at least once a week during the summer months. We also enjoy visits from PAT dogs and have professional exercise sessions and live entertainment, which are always popular.

Kirstie Tifrani

Activities Coordinator

My name is Kirstie and I am lucky enough to be the Activities Coordinator here at The Warren.

I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities and leisure and lifestyle roles.

I love being part of The Warren team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the importance of residents' input into our weekly planner is important giving all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous interests and hobbies.

Life at The Warren Care Home

Country & Western Night

Country & Western Night

We organised a country and western evening with Bobby G. The staff enjoyed dressing up and the residents really loved the music and dancing. A good time was had by all and we are planning to organise another night later in the year. Watch this space!

Pub Trip

Pub Trip

Operations Manager, Rhiannon Crofts, and our activities team were asked by some residents if they could go to the pub, so an evening out at Horning Ferry was arranged and everyone had a great time, especially enjoying the cheesy chips and onion rings!

Royal Wedding Celebrations

Royal Wedding Celebrations

Residents were really excited about the royal wedding of Harry and Megan, and lunch was organised in our lounge for those who wanted to watch the events unfold live on television. Congratulations to the happy couple!

A Special Guest

Irish singer and performer, Daniel O’Donnell, popped in to say hello to residents and staff, much to their surprise.

Our Activities Coordinator, Joy Michell, has been trying to get Daniel to come in for the past 15 years, but he has been unable to due to his busy schedule. However, since he has been up in Norfolk  on tour recently, he kindly agreed to pop in for a visit.

Daniel met with a number of residents in the dining room during lunch and also went to residents’ rooms to say hello. The activities team were very pleased that Daniel was able to visit, and he commented on what a lovely home it was.
