Meet the Washington Grange Care Home Team

Our staff are what hold the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring that residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home. See below to meet some of our friendly faces:

Paula Joicey

General Manager

Hi, my name is Paula and I am the General Manager here at Washington Grange. Welcome to our website!

I am a mother of 2 boys and I have 2 grandsons. My first job in care was in 2000, when I first started here at Washington Grange as a part-time Care Assistant. Within 2 years, I had been promoted to Senior Care Assistant and then went on to become the Deputy Manager, gaining Level 2 & 3 NVQ qualifications in Care.

Now I am the General Manager here at Washington Grange and I have been here for over 15 years now, and have a great team behind me.

Lynsey Clarke

Deputy Manager

I started working at Washington Grange in 2005 as an activity co-ordinator, with previous experience in the care sector, I then worked my way up over the years and was promoted to Deputy Manager in 2020, I enjoy learning new things every day, I enjoy being involved with our residents and their families, participating in various fun days any excuse for a fancy dress day. I enjoy meeting lots of different people and working closely with them to provide the care our residents need and deserve.

Sharon Hall

Administrator

Sharon has worked in the care sector for a number of years as an administrator

Sharon enjoys her role and loves to spend time chatting to residents and families.

Her hobbies are riding  motorbike with her partner, and holidaying in hot climates.

Sharon also lived abroad in her early years as she was married to a soldier.

Michelle Ledger

Head Chef

Hi, my name is Michelle and I am the Head Chef here at Washington Grnage.  I started here at the home in 2023 and bring with me many years’ experience as a chef and I am passionate about the delivery of quality food.

Here at Washington Grange we provide a wonderful choice of delicious and wholesome dishes. The food and the dining experience at Washington Grange is recognised as an integral part of the lifestyle here at the home and I am responsible for managing the catering team, ensuring they provide a quality catering service to all our residents, guests and visitors.

Mavis - Resident Ambassador

Resident Ambassador

We would like to introduce you to our ‘Resident Ambassador’ – Mavis.

Mavis has been a resident in the home since June 2023 and takes great pride in her role and was delighted to be asked.

As Resident Ambassador, Mavis welcomes new residents and befriends them as they adjust to their new home, and will also act as a tour guide around the home and invite other residents to the various activities throughout the week.

Deb Thompson

Care Assistant

Hi, my name is Deb Thompson and I started working at Washington Grange in April 2023 and at the start of 2024 I have been training to progress to be a Bank Senior on our care team.

Julie Hannan

Care Assistant

Hi, my name is Julie and I am a Care Assistant here at Washington Grange. I have worked at Washington Grange since 2000. 

I have always been a carer here and I love my job - I find the role so rewarding.  I have my NVQ Level 2 but did not progress to level 3 as I prefer to work on the floor and spending time with our residents.

Hi, my name is Louise Lowden, I have been working as a Kitchen Assistant at Washington Grange since 2020 providing food, snacks & beverages throughout the day.
