Westlake House is a friendly and inviting residential care home, offering 24-hour nursing and residential care for older people in need of support. Alongside this, we offer respite care and short breaks. Our person-centred approach to care is provided by professionals who are committed to making the home an exceptional place to live and enable all residents to enjoy an improved quality of life.
Westlake House had a major refurbishment in 2017 and its new appearance was carefully designed with the people we care for in mind. The home now has en-suite, fully furnished bedrooms that can be personalised, beautiful lounge areas with views of our gardens, as well as elegant and spacious dining rooms.
Our high quality facilities and standards of care are reflected across all aspects of life within the home; our team of chefs are passionate about producing nutritious meals that are appetising and varied. Meanwhile, our activities coordinators work hard to create exciting social programmes that appeal to residents' own interests.

I have been a nurse for over 30 years and joined the team at Barchester as a Clinical Development Nurse in 2020. I was proud and honoured to become the General Manager at Westlake House in 2024 and to work in such a beautiful home. I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge with me from my time as a nurse. The team and I at Westlake House are dedicated to delivering amazing person centred care to residents, and their compassion and dedication to their work is inspiring and much appreciated. I am passionate about working closely with the team to continue to grown their skills and the wonderful care and support they offer to all the residents as well as to each other.
