Barchester Preview Denmead Grange Care Home

Newly appointed General Manager Sharon Hare recently unveiled the marketing suite at Barchester Healthcare’s brand new luxury care home in Denmead near Waterlooville, Denmead Grange, where she cut the ribbon to the completed part of the home with a giant pair of scissors, and toasted the opening with the team members who joined her on the day.

Sharon was joined by Rebecca Whatley, the Home Services Advisor, Susan Kureishy, the new Administration Manager, Sofia Costa, the newly appointed Administrator, and Abbie Johnston, the Deputy Manager who were all there to celebrate the marketing suite opening.

Doors opened to the community on their open weekend on the 2nd and 3rd of November. Guests were invited to preview the services available at the home, and were able to enjoy a spread of sweet treats provided by the hospitality team as they discussed their care needs.

The marketing suite at Denmead Grange Care Home was fitted out by Barchester’s team of expert interior designers, and provides the local community an opportunity to see what the finished 60-bed care home will look like when the home is complete.

The marketing suite features spacious en-suite bedrooms, a lounge, an activities room and a large assisted spa bathroom, all designed with the comfort of residents in mind.

When it opens, the home will also feature a café with an atrium, a cinema, a choice of lounges, spa bathrooms, a life-skills kitchen, a large terrace, an in-house hair salon, and premium en-suite bedrooms. A daily life enrichment programme with an array of tailored activities, a concierge service, as well as delicious and nutritious seasonal meals will also be provided services at the home. The home will also be fitted with a “magic table”, an interactive, multi-sensory projector that will bring a bit of magic to residents living with dementia with a variety of fun, musical games.

As General Manager Sharon Hare cut the ribbon, she said, “We’re excited to showcase our beautiful Marketing Suite to the local community as a first look around of the home. Our marketing suite is a wonderful way for people to come and see the high quality environment that we are creating, and meet the friendly team who will be caring for our residents.”

Denmead Grange Care Home is owned and operated by Barchester Healthcare, and will provide residential and dementia care for older people in the Denmead community for short breaks to long term stays.
