Barchester Preview Fountains Care Home
Newly appointed General Manager Jackie Harris recently unveiled the marketing suite at Barchester Healthcare’s brand new luxury care home in Solihull, Shirley where she cut the ribbon to the completed part of the home, and toasted the opening with the team members who joined her on the day.
The General Manager Jackie Harris was joined on the day to mark the opening of the marketing suite at Fountains Care Home on Stratford Road by Lorraine Shannon, the Home Services Advisor, Jaci Barton, Divisional Sales and Marketing Manager, Clare Mudge, the Regional Director of the home, and the newly appointed Administrator for the home, Katherine Palmer.
Doors opened to the community on their open weekend on the 9th and 10th of November. Guests were invited to preview the services available at the home, and were able to enjoy a spread of sweet treats provided by the hospitality team as they discussed their care needs.
The marketing suite at Fountains Care Home was fitted out by Barchester’s team of expert interior designers, and provides the local community an opportunity to see what the finished 80-bed care home will look like when the home is complete.
The marketing suite features spacious en-suite bedrooms, a comfortable lounge, a dining area incorporating an activities space, and a large assisted spa bathroom; a small glimpse into the luxury home which is still in development.
The home, constructed by Seddon Construction, has all been designed with the comfort of residents in mind. When it opens, the home will also feature a café, a cinema room, a private dining room, choice of lounges, a dining room with a pre-dinner drinks and seating area, spa bathrooms, a life-skills kitchen, a large terrace, an in-house hair salon, and premier, en-suite bedrooms. A daily life enrichment programme with an array of tailored activities, a concierge service, as well as delicious and nutritious seasonal meals will also be provided services at the home. The home will also be fitted with a “magic table”, an interactive, multi-sensory projector that will bring a bit of magic to residents living with dementia with a variety of fun, musical games.
As General Manager Jackie Harris cut the ribbon she said, “We’re excited to showcase our beautiful Marketing Suite to the local community as a first look around of the home. Our marketing suite is a wonderful way for people to come and see the high quality environment that we are creating, and meet the friendly team who will be caring for the residents.”
Jackie continued, “Personalised care really is at the heart of everything we do, and we will continue to build on friendships already established with our neighbours as well as the local and wider community".
Fountains Care Home is owned and operated by Barchester Healthcare, and will provide residential and dementia care for older people in the Solihull and wider community for short breaks to long term stays.
The marketing suite will be open 6 days a week, where the Fountains team will be on hand to answer any questions about the services available, and will be able to discuss the care options available when the home is ready to welcome residents in Spring 2020.
