Barchester finds a sweet way to say thank you this Carers Week
Care provider Barchester Healthcare celebrated Carers Week 2015 (8th - 14th June) by sending baskets of sweets to every Barchester care home across the UK.
The tuck-shop treats were a thank you to Barchester’s 9,000 carers, who they believe are the best in the business.
Carers do such a vital job and form very special bonds with the people they look after. They are the day-to-day face of Barchester, working directly with residents and families to ensure the very best quality care and support is given.
Barchester Healthcare’s Director of Quality and Clinical Governance, Trish Morris-Thompson, is very proud of the carers within Barchester Healthcare. She said: “Our carers provide residents with amazing care, as well as friendship and comfort. They make a huge difference to the lives of the individuals they care for and the work they do is at the heart of our organisation.
We are thankful to have such fantastic carers working in our homes so this Carer’s Week we celebrated by sending out baskets of sweets to every Barchester care home in the UK for our carers to enjoy together.”
There are over 7 million carers in the UK and Carers Week is a campaign to raise awareness of the challenges carers face and to recognise the vital work they do in our communities.
