Barchester prepares for National Care Home Open Day

As National Care Home Open Day approaches, Barchester's care homes around the UK are spreading the word in their respective communities about the first ever day of its kind.  Barchester is proud to be one of the large care providers instrumental in creating this first industry-wide Open Day.

Each home has really thought about the event and a huge amount of creativity and enthusiasm has been generated in the lead up. The variety of events range from zumba, circus skills and visits from animal zoos, to seaside-themed events with donkey rides, virtual ‘around the world cruises’ and talks by explorers, screenwriters and MPs.

National Care Home Open Day is in good company as it shares the date with World Music Day and the summer solstice. This is an excellent combination as all parties need a good playlist and because 21st June is officially the longest day of the year, it will feel as though there is more time for everyone to enjoy themselves.
