First residents settle in at Woodland View
Woodland View Care Home is giving a warm welcome to its first residents June Cousins and Maureen Hobbs who were invited to cut a green ribbon to mark the occasion.
The eagerly awaiting staff at the home greeted June and Maureen with a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of bubbly as they officially moved into the new Barchester care home and everyone toasted the occasion.
Woodland View opened its doors to residents on 11th November and will celebrate its official opening with others from the community on 24th November. The 60-bed home provides quality care to the local area and offers nursing, residential and respite care as well as specialised dementia care in their Memory Lane Community.
Mark McDonald, Commissioning Manager at Woodland View said: “We are thrilled to have June and Maureen here. They are busy unpacking and settling in, and are already firm friends! There’s a lot of interest in this new home and the superb quality of care that we offer here. I look forward to meeting more new residents, getting to know them and hearing about their fascinating lives.”
