Food, Glorious Food!
The chefs at high-quality care provider, Barchester Healthcare, have been digging out their favourite winter warmer recipes to ensure residents enjoy a tasty and nutritional array of their favourite home-cooked meals throughout the winter months.
And this year everyone can enjoy these wonderful recipes too as Barchester has made them available as a set of six recipe cards to see people through the cold winter months ahead. They are available at Barchester care homes throughout the UK.
Barchester Healthcare chefs look forward to cooking residents’ favourite winter recipes and believe a nutritional warm meal can help people stay strong and healthy through the colder months. The selected recipes include chicken pan pie and treacle sponge.
Staying safe and warm in the winter is easy if you follow some simple steps. Have a least one hot meal a day to keep your energy levels up. Keep warm – wrap up even when inside and ensure the temperature of your living room is between 18 to 21ºc. Have food in the cupboard that will keep in case of bad weather and make sure your flu jab is up-to-date.
Barchester Healthcare’s chefs make meal times the highlight of the day with a daily selection of home-cooked, nutritionally balanced meals. Winter needn’t be a cold and lonely time of the year.
