The Mayor was greeted by Mike Parsons, Founder and Chief Executive of Barchester, and welcomed by friends and guests of Hunters care centre. Everyone was treated to a Champagne reception and canapés in the sun lounge.
Before cutting the ribbon to officially open The Lodge, the Mayor, said: “The reason I was keen to come along today was to support this new boutique service as we need the right facilities for older people and more high quality care options are definitely a good thing for Cirencester. It will make an enormous difference and it is good to see that we are planning for the future and older generations.â€
Tracey McDonald, General Manager of The Lodge and Hunters care centre, said: “The Lodge has undergone major refurbishment and Barchester’s expert design team was drafted in to redesign eight rooms within the old hunting lodge. The rooms, accessed by a fob system, are unique in their style and each room has its own individual look and feel. Bespoke care will be delivered by a dedicated care team.â€
All of the rooms offer different features ranging from double patio doors leading out to a beautiful lawn, inglenook fireplaces and high beamed ceilings. Each one is finished to an exceptional standard has been named after one of the species of trees found in the home’s beautiful and extensive grounds. En-suite bathrooms and hospitality trays offering tea and coffee making facilities all add to the appeal of The Lodge.
The boutique rooms have feature walls behind the bed and offer luxurious hand picked fabrics. Each space has been accessorised with luxury furnishings and has a mixture of canvasses and artwork throughout. There is also a shared lounge and study creating a community feel and a real sense of a country home living.
