All of our properties are self-contained and independent but you have the option of taking advantage of the additional services available at the care at any time.
Kirsty Heaver
General Manager
Hi, my name is Kirsty, and I am the General Manager here at Hurstwood View. Welcome to our website!
I began my career working in the care industry in 1997 where I worked in a small privately run care home for around 17 years.
In 2003 I decided to finally start studying Nursing at Brighton University, I continued to work evenings and weekends in a care home whilst studying to improve my knowledge and skills, then in 2006 I received my Nursing qualification. Becoming a nurse gave me such pride and fulfilment, this was a massive achievement for me as it was something I had wanted to do for such a long time.
I started working for Barchester in 2012 as a registered Nurse and worked my way up to deputy manager then onto General Manager in 2017.
At Hurstwood View we have such fantastic staff with great team ethics, we strongly believe in a whole home approach, premium care and working as one big team, people often say we are more like a family than work colleagues. We all have the same priority which is ensuring our residents are well cared for in a person-centred way, we promote independence and respect everyone’s individuality. We enable our residents to live a fulfilled life and we support them to have the best quality of life possible. We always go above and beyond ensuring that our residents are made to feel at home and are happy.
My office door is always open and I will always be found with a smile on my face, ready to greet the next person coming into my office or our home in general.
