Mark Hurst
Hi, my name is Mark and I am Operations Manager here at Appletree Grange. Welcome to our website!
Thank you for taking the time to look further into what we have to offer to you or your loved one. Here is an opportunity to look at some of our staff team in the home, who all play a vital role in day-to-day life.
Prior to joining the Barchester, I was a Regional Manager for; Sanctuary Care, Four Seasons, HC One and a number of small private providers across the UK. With over 25 years’ experience in Health and Social Care, I remain resident focused and ensure that all of our residents have an excellent quality of life, daily. I enjoy meeting and supporting family members of our residents to further enhance the experience and quality of care for our residents.
I have held successful Regional roles but prefer direct involvement with residents and staff and therefore recently took on the role as General Manager here at the home. I also have a background in HR, Training and Learning and Development, and have a real passion for encouraging staff to develop their knowledge and understanding of person centred care for the residents we care for.

Naomi Chukwudochie
My name is Naomi Chukwudochie and I am the Deputy Manager at Appletree Grange, I joined the company in 2022. With a genuine love for my work, I derive joy in the collaborative environment fostered by the excellent management and staff at Appletree Grange .As a valued member of the management team, I consider myself privileged to serve the residents of Appletree Grange. I approach my role with a deep sense of honour, striving tirelessly to ensure that each resident feels truly at home.
My commitment to excellence is evident in the meticulous attention to detail and professionalism which I and my team demonstrate in our care practices. With my over 10 years’ experience in management and compassionate leadership, residents and their families can trust that they are receiving a high standard of care, marked by genuine warmth and dedication to enhancing our resident quality of life.
Nicola Liddle
Hi, my name is Nicola and I joined the Appletree team in August 2022. I am the Home Administrator. I deal with all aspects of the administration of the home to ensure it runs smoothly, from invoicing, ordering, recruitment, setting up contracts, to manning reception; there's never a dull day!
I consider myself to be extremely privileged to work with such wonderful people, full of humour with wonderful stories to tell.
David Scott
Hi, my name is David and I am Head Chef here at Appletree Grange. I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the home and have worked in the hospitality sector since I was 17-years old. I have previously cooked in hotels, restaurants, and in the army. Cooking is a passion of mine and I love seeing our lovely residents enjoying their meals. Here at Appletree Grange, we provide a wonderful choice of delicious and wholesome dishes. The food and the dining experience at Appletree Grange is recognised as an integral part of the lifestyle here at the home and I am responsible for managing the catering team, ensuring they provide a quality catering service to all our residents, guests and visitors.
Julie Redden
Hi, my name is Julie Redden and I am Head Housekeeper here at Appletree Grange. I have worked here for many years; it’s a lovely environment for residents. I enjoy getting to know those we support and their loved ones. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, and I also like to go out for meals. I also love shopping, especially for new shoes and perfume.
Leigh Cameron
Hi, I’m Leigh, I joined Appletree in September 2022 as a Care Assistant and I enjoy getting to know our residents, it’s a lovely environment for them and I love working here and hope to be here for many years to come. I love working as part of a team in delivering quality care and lifestyle for our residents - it feels like an extended family.
Renaye Dixon
Hi, my name is Reneye and I joined Appletree Grange in 2022 as a carer, I really enjoy my job and caring for all of our residents. I continue to develop my skills to support our Residents on a day-to-day basis, I enjoy my job and enjoy any training that helps with my continued development that enhances the delivery of great Quality of Care to my Residents within the Home.
James Evans
Hi, my name is James and I am a Kitchen Assistant at Appletree Grange and joined the home in 2014. I love my job and spending happy times with our residents and staff. Appletree Grange is a very happy home and there is lots of laughter. This makes it a pleasure to come to work.
