Activities at Bere Grove Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hollie Wren
Hi, I'm Hollie. I have worked in healthcare for six years taking on a variety of roles. I am so proud to be heading up the activity team and supporting our residents with a life-enriching programme of events. I am highly motivated and love sharing my creative and imaginative side with everyone. I truly believe age is just a number and there is nothing we cannot achieve if we work together.
I like to create a person-centred activity programme so each resident gets the opportunity to enjoy what they love. This is their time to relax, enjoy and have fun.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Out in the Community Networking
Out and about in the community this morning meeting Lyn Massey from CU Media at her networking group at the Red Lion in Horndean. Thankyou for sharing all the details of our events to your members... remember the free legal clinic on the 22nd at 12pm, there is just so much collaboration within the community.

Things are getting busy round here
Thirty Five days until we welcome our first residents, the Bere Grove induction commenced today. Our full complement of staff arrived for their training the Barchester Way

So the training has started
So the training has started and I have just met the cohort of the new team who are in the process of induction training. They are so excited and cannot believe how gorgeous the home is..... well although biased I can't agree more!

Look who came to tea!....
Today, Rosy Raines, the Mayor of Havant and the Havant Town Crier visited the home. It was a pleasure to show Rosy around the home and start to make plans for community projects that Bere Grove can host and become a part of. As an ex-nurse and local resident for many years Rosy was impressed by the consideration and research incorporated into our Memory Lane dementia floor. Please do get in contact if you would be interested in finding out more about the home as I would be thrilled to showcase all we have to offer - please call me, Kim Wakelin on 07881 379893

Countdown Begins
The countdown has begun.... and the finishing touches are being put in place for the marketing suite Opening Weekend -1st and 2nd July - when you can come and view our stunning new home and all it has to offer, here in Horndean,
Look what arrived today, all the way from Rotherham - I can only imagine what wonderful delights our future residents will grow in this greenhouse, wonder if it will be flowers or vegetables, maybe both?
Using the greenhouse and gardening will be just one of a varied range of enrichment activities that will be available for residents and those in the local community.
If you are interested in finding out more please do get in touch and we will be delighted to arrange for you to come and have a look and have a chat about how we may be able to help you.
