Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Fireworks Display
Last night we held a community Fireworks display inviting our local community to join us in lighting up the sky with spectacular fireworks, one of our residents Favourite Singers also came along to perform for us.
Our residents enjoyed traditional bonfire night treats, Hotdogs with caramelised maple onions, Homemade Soup and sweet treats, all beautifully prepared by the homes chefs.

Thank You to all the Staff
In Bushey we have an amazing team, some of our staff have been here for over a decade.
We also have some new faces in our team. Last week we decided to throw a welcome/ thank you party.
There was delicious food and cakes all the staff and residents enjoyed while we listened to some music and got to know our new staff members
Movement to Music
At Bushey we regularly enjoy our exercise classes, Last week we had a musical themed class.
Dancing along to and singing some old favorites. something that will keep us all warm in the winter months
Amelia Turns 100
We had a very special birthday recently where Amelia turned the grand age of 100 and received a special birthday card from the queen. Family and friends joined Amelia to mark the special occasion with an extravagant birthday party!
Zoolab at Bushey
Not for the faint-hearted, Bushey had a visit from Zoolab who bought in a tarantula, a large snail and various other reptiles which we all held and had a mini lesson on each animal. Luckily no animals escaped and a great time was had by all!
Fundraising Fun
We decided to use our Summer Fête to raise as much money for Peace Hospice Care as possible, as it is such a great cause. We managed to raise a total of £190.94, and we invited in Louis from the Hospice to receive the cheque!
