"I can honestly say that I could not have hoped for better care for my dad in his last year of life. The care, companionship and support shown to be given to my dad was beyond my expectations. My appreciation to all the staff that cared for him, cannot be extended enough to show how much it means to me and meant to my dad. Thank you."

"My stay here I can only judge from my own physical condition at that time. The accommodation was excellent but limited by the abilities of the other occupants. This reduced the moral chance of forming social contact with other people. Very good but very limited choice owing to few people in a similar situation to my own."

"My mother moved to Cherry Blossom Manor 8 weeks ago. I was very impressed with the caring and efficient way in which she was welcomed and integrated into her new surroundings. All the staff are kind and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. Despite her dementia, they have made great efforts to get to know Mum and understand her, her likes and dislikes. The surroundings are all very pleasant and there is a happy atmosphere on Memory Lane."

"My mother stayed at Barchester Cherry Blossom Manor for respite care following my hospitalisation as she had lived with me for the past 14 years and now aged 92 years was unable to live alone and care for herself. She was made very welcome from the start, the manager and her staff being so friendly, caring and attentive throughout her stay there. They are a credit to her company."

"The care home is very nicely run and feeling of a home from home. The only issue is the cleaning in rooms could be better and high class. So if they could address this it would add to people's stay - we have added an Air purifier to help the air be clean and fresh."

"We found the staff professional, approachable and compassionate at all times when it came to looking after the needs of my stepmother, making a home away from home. The entertainment and the hairdresser helped to provide a variety to make the stay a good one. The gardens are well maintained, full of flowers providing a delightful, peaceful place to sit. The place was always clean and tidy, the rooms are modern and cheerful and the meals provided were of a very high standard. The Café provided a really nice break from the room. This was always well stocked with yummy cakes and drinks."

"We've been very pleased with Cherry Blossom since Mum came here in May 2016. Since the manager came in January we have been impressed with any changes, and in May the manager was extremely helpful with the arrangements for Mum to attend her grandson's wedding. All the staff and carers have been so lovely and helpful. We have another wedding in August to sort! Food is the only thing we would mark down a bit but mum is very fussy!"

"Every time I visit, the place is always clean and tidy, with the staff looking after all efficiently and they seem caring. Most times when I come, it is the end of lunch, so there is always clearing, helping the last to finish. My mum's room is always clean and tidy, and I am impressed generally with the lack of 'dirty' smells - overall good!"

"My dad has been at Cherry Blossom Manor for a year. He feels happy, well cared for and safe in this home. He enjoys regular visits from his 'beautiful wife', who he just said to me that he has had a 'wonderful life' with my mum and although they now have to live apart, his wife brightens his day when she visits Dad and we are pleased with the kind, loving, cheerful care Dad has received."

"Generally excellent. Sometimes things become a little disorganised, mostly caused by staffing problems. Food is passable. Portions are quite small, except salads which are good but excellent when they have remembered to order onions and are quite large."

"We have found that Cherry Blossom Manor is a very good care home. The carers are all positive and very cheerful and they show respect to the residents. We have spoken to the carers on many occasions, they are very helpful! They often have comforting words when things can be a little stressful and upsetting. They always make time to speak to you. We have also heard that the food is very good! Compliments to the chef!"

"Dad was extremely ill on Christmas Eve and if it was not for the staff that day he would not have made it to the doctor. Well, Dad is still here and receives excellent care from the staff. Two, in particular, are a real credit to the home and I hope they are treated accordingly."

"My cousin was here for seven weeks and from when she arrived she was made very welcome. The staff were exemplary of their care of her. The nursing staff looked after her very well and were very supportive and caring. She was very happy with all of the carers, office staff, meals and maintenance. She particularly loved the entertainment. We are so very grateful for all the love and care she received."

"The whole experience of moving mum from another home after 2 weeks was a positive one. We arrived without an appointment late one Sunday night to be shown around the home. The move was made easy and stress-free by the staff including Manager, Admin, Reception and Matron. A warm welcome, caring staff and lots of TLC has helped my mother to settle well and now stay permanently at Cherry Blossom. The atmosphere is friendly, caring and most of the staff are brilliant. Thank you, Cherry Blossom."

"We did have a few issues on the first 3 days of my father being here. Eg soft food only and to be assisted when eating. Forgot to give prescription protein drink until I mentioned this plus all of the above was in his notes for staff to read. Once I had a talk with the staff and manager on day 3, all was sorted. The staff are really lovely but let it down by not reading his notes. He was only here for 8 days in total."

"This care home manages my mother's personal needs 24/7 including regular services and nursing. My mother is treated in many kind ways by all the staff and has maintained a good relationship with ourselves in order to cooperate on timing, visits and events. I have encouraged the home to create a musical extension to their regular timetable and help by playing the piano which is appreciated as well. The Christmas Party this year was well organised and the standard of fun exceptional. I have participated in regular events about dementia training. The communication between different layers of staffing could be improved sometimes when my outsider view is challenged but I do not hold this as a severe criticism."

"Although our dear dad/grandad was not in the home for very long before he passed away, he was cared for well and felt that he had settled in well. We visited most weekends en masse, daughter, grandchildren, great-granddaughter and our dog whom Dad was immensely fond of and were always made to feel so welcome. We enjoyed having lunch with him and nothing seemed to be too much trouble and staff always greeted us with a smile. Thank you."

"I enjoyed the room with a wet room but the latter was a bit small. The room was well decorated; there were more activities available, though I was unable to participate due to having a urinary infection and being bedbound for 5 days. Generally, the staff were caring and thoughtful. I had some concern when my tablets were found on the floor and table (3). Unfortunately, after returning home I have been admitted to hospital with blood clots in my lungs and heart, possibly brought on by being immobile during my infection."

"From being very apprehensive for my first visit to a care home, I am overwhelmed by the level of care and patience shown by the staff at Cherry Blossom Manor. Nothing is too much trouble to make my stay a very pleasant experience. I will keep in touch with them until I need another stay!"

"I really enjoyed the party on Saturday for Barchester's 25th birthday. I really enjoyed watching the others getting their pictures done by the caricaturist. I loved watching 'George and Ginger' and it was a very good atmosphere - I look forward to seeing them again!"

"Understanding staff, good facilities, good communications, a god send. The home feels good. The relationships between me and the staff are excellent and I feel at home. Mother has settled in well. I have a high trust of the staff and I know my mother is in very safe hands. I can speak from after looking after my mother with my sister for four years. I am content."

"I came to visit my grandmother on Sunday 15/7/18. As usual, carers were very polite, my nan was well presented and seemed in a good mood. I stayed with my Nan whilst she had her lunch, which she usually enjoys very much. The head chef here is great and always very accommodating towards my nan's needs and requests. However, this Sunday my nan was very disheartened at lunchtime. The pork was very tough, which I was shocked at as it’s usually very soft, the mash was like water and when I questioned what was going on as the food is normally great, I was told a new chef had been taken on board. I hope he is receiving adequate training as to me and to my nan it didn’t seem like he knew how to cook correctly for the elderly. I really hope this is sorted as my nan is very happy at Cherry and I am also happy with the care she receives. This is the first time we have had any issue at Cherry and I hope now it’s been addressed that it won’t be a regular thing. Apart from that, thumbs up to all the staff."
