"From the minute I walked into Cherry Blossom I knew if my mum had to go into a care home it would be this one, you feel the warmth of the staff, they are amazing, nothing ever is too much trouble. They treated my mum with love, care and dignity, they gave me my mum back, I can never thank them enough. They told me they treat the residents like family and they really do. Cherry Blossom should be a 'model' for the perfect home."

"The care given to my parents during such a difficult time with the COVID-19 pandemic has been outstanding. The staff on Silchester have been wonderfully dedicated, kind, and patient throughout the lockdown, even while working in such uncomfortable conditions. We have been hugely impressed and very reassured each time we see our parents by video link. Thank you."

"During the lockdown, it was easy to book a pm telephone call to my friend, which reassured us both. later, in good weather, this home had a beautiful garden for us to book a distance meeting. I now look forward to the activities coordinator to write 'dictated shopping' from my friend, in the stamped, addressed envelope I left today."

"Generally, care is good, residents are clean and well-fed. Little things are missed ensuring hair is well brushed as residents like it is hit and miss. Clothes tend to look 'thrown on' in those who are very dependent. My own relative has complained regularly over 4 years that night staff are rough in their handling (no hint of maliciousness) oral care is poor. The staff deserve a monetary bonus for containing the one case of Covid-19 and preventing any external infection entering 1st class."

"My husband has regular respite care at Cherry Blossom Manor. He is always greeted in a friendly manner and treated with respect although he is only there for short periods the staff make every effort to include him in activities and are sensitive to his needs and make every effort with care and communication as he has Aphasia."

"From the moment of having POA of my nan, I have complete trust in Cherry Blossom and all the staff. The communication is fantastic. My nan loves her environment and has always spoken highly of her home and second family. Although my nan's needs have changed, I know she is still well looked after, communication via phone, email, Zoom and post continues to reassure me and photos show me that, even in these difficult Covid times, nothing changes."

"My cousin wasn't here for long and during the pandemic, we were unable to visit but we found the staff very helpful on the phone. They kept us well informed me my cousin's state a were sympathetic concerning her and our needs. We were informed almost immediately when she died and facilitated the necessary steps to be taken we didn't visit the home."

"My mum had the privilege of being at Barchester Cherry Blossom Manor for about five months. Her care was excellent and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful and caring. It is a beautiful place, more like a five-star hotel. Thank you to all the staff for making Mum's time with you a very happy one! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cherry Blossom Manor to anyone. "A wonderful first visit to see my mum face to face. Cherry Blossom has been absolutely wonderful in these troubled times and everyone from the admin staff, receptionist, nurses, carers and entertainment crew, not forgetting the cleaners, caterers and maintenance staff have all been incredible. A huge thanks to a wonderful organisation."

"Due to Covid, our access to Cherry Blossom has been limited. Going on feedback from my mum we are very pleased with the care she is getting. Mum is always very positive. She says the food is fantastic and the nurses/carers are very kind. COmmunication in these difficult times between the home and myself has been great."

"Since December 2020 when my father was first admitted here, I have been utterly amazed at the patience of all the staff caring for Dad. They are all so friendly and very caring and excellent at their job. The food and facilities are very good too. I think Dad is getting the best possible care anyone could wish for. Dementia is particularly difficult to deal with and the whole family is very grateful to you."

"Always a very positive visit. The staff are always very friendly, from the cleaner to the nurses! The admin staff dealt with the testing and welcome in a gracious and efficient way. "As a family the pandemic brought significant change including the need for dad to be moved into nursing care due to his needs and for his safety. The care that has provided has been second to none and the attention provided by the staffing team in an ever-evolving situation due to my dads complex needs have been praised by both ourselves (me and mum) but also by his medical team. Recently we also had a lengthy CHC meeting which the care practitioner attended. Her knowledge of my dad, awareness of his care and nursing needs alongside the risks despite him only having moved in during January 2021 was in-depth and reassured us as a family that he is in very good, caring and knowledgeable hands. She has been a source of much support and comfort during these times and has absolutely advocated for my dad and supported us as a family and we are very grateful. The whole Cherry Blossom team have gone out of their way to be supportive and we would highly recommend!"

"Outstanding care provided by all the staff. Staff have unique insight into my husband's condition and they are superb advocates for him, especially when assessments are needed. All the staff provide 24-hour care and supervision for him. He is now safe and I have peace of mind. At home, I was worried he would have a catastrophic accident. You all keep my husband safe and well."

"My wife was a resident at Cherry Blossom Manor for 2 weeks in June for respite care. The home was chosen as my son and daughter live nearby and are able to visit. My dealings with management and staff was efficient, helpful, cheerful and friendly. I was most impressed with the care and professionalism of the nurse and felt my wife was in excellent hands to cope with my wife's dementia and ensure her safety and care. I was able to go away relaxed, and my wife settled well. I am unable to comment on facilities, food and activities as I was not there - my wife is unable to comment in any meaningful way."

"My wife's parents moved into Cherry Blossom over 3 years ago, both having various care needs. Mum had severe dementia. Both of them have subsequently died. The care and concern shown by both the care and nursing staff was second to none. Even the cleaning and kitchen staff showed care and understanding. All involved supported the resident, as well as the family members, with empathy and respect. It was touching to see how involved the staff were their lives. Some of the staff have be friends. Personally, I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the level of care. Thanks you all so much"

"My father was a resident for three weeks at Cherry Blossom on a respite basis. The home is very clean and the staff are very pleasant. We were very happy with the standard of care provided and the standard of the home. We would recommend the home. It is expensive which may affect decisions for any future stays."

"We have been very happy with the care of our aunt. The staff on the memory lane unit have been kind, considerate and caring. As we didn't live in the area it was difficult to visit regularly and we were always well-informed about our aunt's health and well-being. There was always a warm welcome from all the staff and the environment was clean, safe and bright. It takes teamwork to produce that environment and this was certainly the case at Cherry Blossom. Thank you"

"Since my husband was transferred from another home into Cherry Blossom his condition is slowly improving. His weight had plummeted as he had not been eating properly or dinging. He is now beginning to gain weight and is more relaxed and much happier. I am so relieved that he is now being well looked after and in the safe hands of good dedicated staff."

"It was a tough decision to move my mum into a care home. But, the care, support and kindness that mum has received since arriving shows us it was the right decision. The team at Cherry Blossom are always helpful and they give mum the time to do daily living tasks and activities. They are very good at encouraging mum to do as much as she can for herself. The staff communicate with the family well. Thank you to all the staff for all you do and for always being so cheerful and positive."

"My mother moved to Cherry Blossom Manor in November 2019. She settled quickly and enjoyed the activities organised for her. She had a mobile phone in her room and spoke to her daily. She told us how well she was being looked after and often whilst we were talking in the evening someone would pop in with a cup of tea and a biscuit for her. Lockdown curtailed our visits to her but we were still able to talk and the home provided a tablet so that we could video call her too. They set up a Covid safe pod which we could book to use, she could sit on the other side of the screen and see the family. The pandemic reduced her activities and she began to decline. Towards the end of 2021, we were able to visit face to face again and brought her out for tea occasionally. Sadly her dementia accelerated and she passed away in November 2021. The staff at the home were extremely caring and it was great to learn how much she had become part of their "family." We are very grateful to all her carers."

"I have written to the Head of Memory Lane to thank her for the wonderful care that my wife received on Memory Lane. It far exceeded my expectations and I could not have been happier with Cherry Blossom Manor. I would recommend it unreservedly to anyone who was wanting to place a relative in care. One hears so many bad reports about care homes, but Cherry Blossom is clearly an exception. Apart from the lovely environment, it was clean and always well staffed with kind and attentive carers who really seemed to enjoy their job."

"My dad was at Cherry Blossom for a two-week respite and he loves it there. The staff was very friendly and loving, my dad didn’t even miss me for one day. He didn’t want to come back home. "I submitted a review last year and I am pleased to say Dad continues to do very well thanks to the Cherry Blossom Care Team. I am regularly kept up to date about Dad's general well-being, our opinion is valued, and concerns are listened to and allayed particularly with regard to changes in treatment and medication, with updates sent immediately should there be a more pressing issue. The team is great, always thinking about what is best for Dad and how to make his day more comfortable and enjoyable his safety and well are their first consideration, and all of this is of great importance as we live abroad and are not able to return to the UK as frequently as we would like. I have absolutely no concerns that Dad is happy and comfortable and receiving the best possible care, we are very grateful to all of the team for their time and dedication, Dad and I appreciate this immensely as I am sure to do all the residents and family members who have loved one at Cherry Blossom Manor."
