Activities at Cherry Trees Care Home
Our activities team are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual social events for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest, including the local theatre, as well as visits from Pat dogs, musicians and entertainers. We also host bingo, quiz and knitter natter afternoons that we encourage relatives and the local community to attend. Our Gentleman's Club is also open to non-residents every Thursday afternoon from 2:30pm, join us for a tipple of your choice, we have plenty of snacks and chats. For the ladies, our beauty salon provides; hairdressing and nail pampering, you too can enjoy a drink and some well-deserved 'me' time. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Cherry Trees is fun and active.

Life at Cherry Trees Care Home
Summer Fête
We had a lot of fun at our Summer Fête. We had a body shop stall, a tombola, hook-a-duck, a bouncy castle and face paint. We also had yummy hot dogs on the go and some cakes and brownies for after. We had the delightful music of Johnny Tarino in the afternoon, which was much-enjoyed by the residents, family and staff. We managed to raise over £100 to go towards activities resources, so it was a very successful day.
Employee of the Month - June
Congratulations to Debbie Williams, who was named as our Employee of the Month for June. She was personally recommended by a family members for all the support she gave to their loved one.
10 Years of Service
We were proud to celebrate with Greg, as he has been working at Cherry Trees for 10 years now. He is a pleasure to work with and we hope that he's here for another 10 years to come.
An Adorable Visitor
One of our staff members got a new puppy and brought him in for residents to meet. As you can see, Chester was loved by all.
Getting Creative
Once again, we had so much fun in Claire's arts & crafts session. As it was Halloween, we painted some spooky spiders to commemorate the occasion
Halloween
We had so much fun at Halloween, carving pumpkins into spooky faces and listening to scary songs. Residents also had a Halloween party in the evening, with a spooky buffet made by our chef.
