"From the first moments of my mother becoming a resident at Cubbington Mill Nursing/Care Home, I was very impressed. The level of care, medical knowledge, kindness and compassion is exceptional. It took such a huge weight off my mind to know she was so well cared for. The variety of activities on offer and the beautiful gardens and furnishings provide an environment which works at all levels to nurture each individual through such a sensitive period of life. THANK YOU from my heart."

"My grandma is 101 yrs and can be quite a difficult patient. The staff and manager assessed this very quickly and dealt with it perfectly. The care they offer is truly amazing. My children are very small and came to visit and the experience was not scary or intimidating as it can be for little ones. Amazing staff, accommodation and management!"

"Cubbington Mill Care Home is a very friendly and welcoming nursing home. Always very efficiently run with plenty of stimulating activity session for the residents to take part in. The staff are warm and friendly and caring. My mum is extremely content and therefore as her daughter, this gives me great peace of mind."

"We have been delighted with the level of care for Mum since she came to Cubbington Mill in April. Also, the cleanliness and general appearance of the home is lovely, althogh the recent refurbishment was somewhat protracted and the overall feeling is a little less homely and more corporate - not really conducive to feeling comfortable. Overall the staff are exemplary. Thank you."

"Mum was not at Cubbington Mill for very long following a fall when she broke her hip, but she was always treated with the utmost care and compassion which was extended to my brother ab myself during the difficult time as mums life ended and what to do next. I was told if I needed to go in for a chat I was welcome after mum had died. During that time I spent at Cubbington Mill I was able to observe the activities taking place and chatted with some of the residents and staff. I was happy mum spent her days at peace in such a lovely environment."

"Cubbington Mill is a homely residential home with very caring staff and nurses. The Manager is very friendly too. I am lucky to have been able to get my mother taken care of there for the last 9 months. It is lovely to be able to take residents to the reception area for coffee."

"My mother had been in a care home in Essex for 8 years but when my father died, she moved to Barchester Cubbington Mill Care Home to be closer to the family. There was no comparison to the previous care home. There is a wonderful feeling about Barchester Cubbington Mill Care Home, from the approach through the beautiful gardens to the warm welcome and the clean bright interior. The staff are friendly and professional and could not have done more in their caring treatment of my mother, especially as her health deteriorated and she needed more attention. My family cannot thank everyone enough for giving my mother a very happy home."

"My dad was looked after by the staff to an extremely high standard. I could not fault how he was treated, everything from his personal care, nursing treatment to cleanliness of his room and clothes, exceptional!! Cubbington Mill was described to me as a "family" home and this is true. My dad was only there for around 6 weeks; this didn't matter, it could have been 6 years, they loved him in his final days. Thank you."

"I cannot fault the care and support my mother and her family received from all the staff, past and present at Cubbington Mill, she was treated with respect and dignity throughout the 4yrs she lived there. To be given the space to laugh and cry and to visit as a daughter was incredibly important to me and I received it in spades. I consider every member of staff to be part of my extended family and I shall miss them all."

"My auntie came to Cubbington Mill for a couple of weeks respite while family members were on holiday. She loved it and was fortunate to be able to stay on. I particularly remember coming to the open day when the staff dressed up and there was lots of very appropriate entertainment. I hadn't seen my auntie laugh so much for years - she thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Nothing was too much trouble for the nurses/carers ever."

"Having spent 2 weeks here, I have found the experience enjoyable and worthwhile. The only disadvantage at Cubbington mill is the lack of an en-suite shower. Otherwise, my stay was fine."

"Dad is in Cubbington Mill on respite a the moment. Although he has been there two weeks. He has only spent 6 nights in the home. He fell after 5 nights and was admitted to hospital for 8 nights. I was asked by his doctor in hospital where I wanted dad to be. I had no reservations on saying return to the care home. His care and appearance is so much better than in hospital. We are asking are asking as of next week for permanent stay at Cubbington Mill."

"I am very impressed with Cubbington Mill Care Home. It doesn't smell like a lot of care homes that I have visited. The staff seem very caring. The grounds are kept in a beautiful condition and the flowers are lovely for the residents to see. A hard job well done. The only criticism I have is that the food could be a bit more appetising and if more could be done to cater for diabetic residents, it would be appreciated."

"Cubbington Mill provided palliative care for my mother during the last three weeks of her life after she left the hospice. She had felt very secure and had blossomed at the hospice and faced leaving for a nursing home with trepidation. The staff at Cubbington Mill were very caring and efficient, dealing swiftly with any hiccoughs on her day of admission and providing a calm and beautiful room for her. I soon felt confident in the care she was receiving and I know she particularly enjoyed the food and ate everything almost until the end. The Cubbington Mill staff were particularly kind and caring right at the end and to me after she had died."

"My mother-in-law arrived at Cubbington Mill requiring palliative care. She spent 3 weeks here and the staff have been very helpful and kind. There is a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Nothing has been too much trouble and we are very grateful for the care shown at the end of her life."

"My mum was transferred here for nursing care following a hospital admission from a previous residential home that could no longer care for her needs. From the very first day my mums care here was exceptional from the managers, nursing staff, domestic staff and kitchens. Whats more with the care that I received kindness, sympathy and support given to mum throughout her short stay to her death was outstanding. I was made to feel like one of the family and it made a very difficult time so much easier. I cannot recommend then highly enough."
