Activities at Glenroyd Care Home
Here at the Glenroyd our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. Everyone is different and gets pleasure from different things and here at Glenroyd we understand that and therefore try to provide a programme of activity that is tailored to individuals needs. We do this by gathering information and life history work and using that information to feed into our activities schedule. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.
Agata Prendota
Hi, my name is Agata Prendota and I am the activities coordinator here at Glenroyd. I have worked at Glenroyd since 2014 and in April 2022 transferred to activities. I developed a strong relationship with many of our residents and their families. This has helped me to create a tailored activities program focused on maximizing everyone’s wellbeing, independence, and social engagement.
It is my goal to create a stimulating environment that enables to provide imaginative, fun, and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability. My infectious enthusiasm and creative approach are the key to inspire our residents and staff to get involved in activities both within the home and in the local community.
I am passionate about my role and especially the challenge of coming up with new ways to engage as many residents as possible in daily activities.

Life at Glenroyd Care Home
Little Visitors
We were visited by our little friends from our local nursery recently. We enjoyed decorating cakes for everyone to devour and did lots of painting of birds and different animals.
Potting Plants
Weeks ago, we did some plant potting inside and now, as the fruits and vegetables have started to grow, we have had a busy time moving them outside into bigger pots to give them more sun and room to grow. We are very excited to see the outcome of all the different things we are growing.
Fun in the Sun
We have been taking advantage of the sun in our lovely garden, relaxing with ice lollies, doing the gardening and playing lots of games.
Baking Session
We enjoy are regular baking session; most recently, we made yummy cupcakes for everyone to enjoy. We had a busy day baking and then decorating each of them individually with lots of various toppings, such as marshmallows, Nutella, fruit and sprinkles. All the residents said the best part about baking is enjoying the food afterwards afterwards.
Little Dove Tails and Owls
We had a lovely visit from Little Dove Tails and Owls; we all enjoyed a first-hand experience with a variety of owls and birds. They gave an educational talk and learnt a lot about all the different animals.
Spring Fair
Our Spring Fair brought animals from a local farm in to visit and the Park School Choir came to entertain us with their music! Our little visitors from Meadow Nursery came along for a catch up and the Mayor and Mayoress joined in with the fun as well. It was a fun-filled day that everyone enjoyed.
