Activities at Lethen Park Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Amanda McCarthy
We all know that keeping active is important. We have created a wonderful culture within the home and we work together to give residents the best possible experience. We are here to ensure that residents enjoy an environment that is both stimulating and socially active. We ensure the team knows each residents' preferences, so that we can deliver a person-centered program of events and activities. Essential to our homely feel is the strong relationships of trust we build with residents and their families and friends

Life at Lethen Park Care Home
Garden Opening
To celebrate the opening of our newly-refurbished garden, Lethen Park held a garden party for the local community. The sun shone and everyone had a great day.
Garden Decorations
In preparation for the opening of Lethen Park’s garden, the staff and residents have been creating garden art and tidied the plants as well.
Sports Day
We hosted a sports day recently. Residents were split into teams and chose country names associated with the World Cup teams. Argentina were the winning team and individual winners were rewarded with medals.
Aberdeen Kiltwalk
On Sunday 3rd June, seven members of staff took part in the Aberdeen Kiltwalk to raise money for the resident' fund. Although the girls walked 26 miles and were very sore afterwards, they all want to do it again next year. Well done!
Beside the Seaside
As the weather has been glorious, we took a few residents to the beach for an ice cream – and they were delicious!
Senior Health & Fitness Day
On Senior Health & Fitness Day, the staff and residents went on a big walk. The pavements have been lowered in our area to make the area dementia-friendly for all.
