"Staff are very friendly, supportive and helpful but sometimes when visiting, I need to ask staff to give my friend care, e.g. face dressing and pain relief. Staff came quickly and administered the care that was needed without question and with dignity towards myself and my friend. I cannot comment about activities or the money situation s they didn't apply to my friend. Lastly, one small point, my friend's bedroom furniture needed to be updated."

"I viewed another home a few months ago but unfortunately have been unable to Longueville Court since Mum has been there due to COVID-19. I cannot, therefore, complete some of the boxes below. Mum resides on Memory Lane, having moved from the NHS system in April. It is extremely hard not to be able to visit her (for reasons that we fully understand and support). However, the staff has been immensely helpful in enabling me to communicate with Mum by telephone on a regular basis. The staff has kept me fully informed of Mum's health and day to day condition."

"Mum spent the last 18 months of her life at Longueville Court. She was treated so well, just as if she was everyone's grandma. The staff is amazing. The rooms were much larger and nicer than anywhere else I have seen. Nothing is too much trouble here. Sadly we couldn't be with Mum in her final weeks but we are comforted to know in her final moments they never left her and held her hand until the end. We are eternally grateful."

"Food terrible in lock-down but much improved now. Five-star food when I came here in January. Staff very friendly and I can’t fault the two activity ladies who do wonders, as they are down from four to two people, to do the same work in difficult circumstances. They are always cheerful and helpful and nothing is too much trouble."

"1. Care provided very good and thanks to care staff. 2. Strongly suggest that all staff have the training to help them with communicating with families more sensitively and to meet resident confidentiality. Bigger coffee space. 3. Activities on offer need to be broadened so residents with Alzheimer's have more sensory and musical experiences and more trips out. 4. Think Memory Lane Longueville needs updating and renovating. Would be nice if it had a nicer name and newsletter had news from Memory Lane."

"My father was a resident at Longueville Court Care home and our family experience of the home is it's extremely well managed with a superb team of staff from reception and admin to highly competent, compassionate, caring and professional care staff as well as highly qualified and experienced nursing staff. In addition support staff such as those in maintenance, cleaning and laundry demonstrated considerable care and dedication to the needs of residents and my father in particular. Nothing was too much trouble. During the last two weeks of my father's life the level of care, compassion, sensitivity to need was of considerable help to us as a family especially during the challenging COVID situation and associated restrictions the care home has to operate within to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and residents. Care home staff and especially the care home manager, made a very difficult situation just that little bit easier, for which we are extremely grateful."

"My experience at Barchester Longueville Court was nothing short of 100% excellent. It was spotlessly clean, friendly and the staff couldn't do enough to help you with your requirements, medical or mental. My time helped me through a very difficult time in my life and gave me back a zest for life. The food's excellent too! Main the staff place the place so good."

"I am very happy here with excellent staff and facilities. I would recommend this care home to anybody that might be thinking of care for parents etc. The choice of meals every day, good food and drink. Short or long term you can't go wrong in this well run home."

"To date, I have been very pleased with the care the Barchester - Longueville Court has provided for my mother who has dementia. The staff notifies me regarding any issues or concerns. My mother is looked after with respect and she is allowed to walk around the corridors which she enjoys and to seek company from the staff ie allowed to sit in the nurses office. There appear a variety of activities for my mother if she so wishes to take part. The manager is always available via phone or e-mail which is appreciated."

"Mum has been at Longueville Court for 18 months and is very well cared for on Memory Lane. Mum is safe, always very clean and enjoys her food. Dad joined the home on respite a year ago and has stayed, as he is able to be with Mum. The nurses and carers show respect, kindness and compassion, which Dad comments on when he sees the care that mum is getting. The activities team have a great sense of fun and they go out of their way to please dad, such as picking up his newspaper every day and making a special Valentine's tea for them. Thank you, chef! Kingfisher Unit are very kind to Dad and the lead nurse is excellent at communicating any issues to me. I have every confidence in the team led by the manager who always makes time to help my parents and our family, as does her deputy. Longueville is a safe, caring and happy place. Thank you one and all!"

"My mother received excellent care at Longueville Court in her final few weeks. The nursing staff, in particular, were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. The home is clearly well run, and all the staff are professional and caring. The absence of agency staff is a good sign that staffing levels are more than adequate. Along with the fact that the home is spotlessly clean, it is hard to find fault with anything to do with the place. Having seen many care homes, I highly recommend Longueville to anyone."

"From the moment I first stepped in, I knew this was the care home I wanted my mum to live in. Unfortunately, she was only with you for a few weeks before she died, but the care from the nurses and the rest of the team was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and always spoke to me when I visited. The home was very clean, rooms spacious and homely. I would certainly recommend Longueville Court to anyone thinking of care for their parents."

"My sister arrived here from A&E, and from the moment she arrived was greeted with friendly faces and exceptional care. The room, the service level provided and the staff are all wonderful and meet all her needs. The training of the staff enables Longueville Court to be the best possible place for her to be. All the family and friends who have visited are amazing at the attention. Well done."

"I've come to Longueville Court straight from the hospital and had no idea what to expect. A nice modern but stylish building set well back from the road and neighbours was my first view of where I was coming to live. The large reception was very nicely decorated and set out with what I was to learn was a café area for residents and visitors. I was shown to a frankly stunning room, a huge and fully appointed lovely ensuite. I couldn't ask for better although the staff made it clear that if I needed anything I just had to ask. The staff are friendly and professional and your preferences are asked for and remembered. If you wish, you can eat in your room or if capable you can eat with other residents in the nice dining room which I normally do. The food, by the way, is very good, not what I expected and the staff go above and beyond to give you whatever you want. One of my major concerns was medication but I need not have worried because my painkillers are always on time. Overall an excellent place to live."

"My mum has been welcomed into Longueville Court Care Home and we have been thrilled to see how well she has settled. I feel that the staff have really tried to get to know her and understand her. One example is the water colour painting she enjoyed doing. It was a pleasure to see Mum rediscover this with the help and encouragement of staff, a big thanks to everyone who contributes to Mum's wellbeing and welfare."

"It is with a heavy yet grateful heart that I share this message of sincere thanks to the remarkable staff at Longueville Court Care Home. On Wednesday 24th January 2024, our beloved father peacefully passed away under the dedicated care of the compassionate professionals at this care home. During his final days, the level of care and support extended to Dad and our family was nothing short of extraordinary. The staff went above and beyond in providing not only medical expertise but also heartfelt compassion. Their dedication made an indelible impact on our family the staff created an environment of comfort and understanding, which eased the burden for us all. Professionalism, coupled with genuine empathy, was a source of solace we will forever cherish. We extend our deepest thanks to all involved. I highly recommend for their unparalleled care and support. With heartfelt thanks."

"Super care and support for my neighbour who had a fall on the 30th December. After a stay of two-weeks in hospital with a broken hip rather than them try to manage at home, it was important to give them a little more time to recover and be cared for 24/7. The home manager was able to work with us and often when there is a crisis, it can be very frightening and the fear of the unknown is difficult for everyone - especially the person who will be the resident. I can't thank the manager enough in making this happen and the staff who are caring and who listen."

"This home is absolutely amazing and has exceeded my expectations. From the moment you enter Barchester Longueville Court Care Home, you get the warmest greeting by everyone, especially the lovely receptionist. Refreshments are readily available for visitors and everywhere is spotlessly clean and tidy. My dear friend's room is outstanding with a homely feel and a great view. The carers are all warm and friendly and look after their residents amazingly. Nothing is too much trouble. We have seen my friend grow in health and well-being due to their outstanding care. I would most highly recommend this home to anyone. It's truly outstanding."

"The care, compassion and dedication of the team in caring for my mother in law during her declining health has been amazing. Without fail, every employee worked so hard to make her time comfortable and supported us every day that we visited. There is nothing but praise that we can say for the team. Thank you all so much."

"Mum came to Barchester Longueville Court Care Home in February and slowly deteriorated until her death on 17/12. During that time, I visited three times a week. Every time, all the staff were polite and helpful, I met many carers and everyone dealt with Mum in a gentle and care-filled way. I could tell they genuinely cared for her welfare and it gave me great peace of mind that she was being so well looked after. Whether it was the cleaner, admin ladies, carer or nursing staff, the ethos set at the top filtered down to make a wonderful team. Thank you."

"Mum went in for palliative care for the last two weeks of her life. I went in every day to be with her and couldn't praise the carers and nursing staff enough. I am so pleased that we decided to use Barchester Longueville Court Care Home for palliative care instead of having her at home. Mum has cancer and other complex needs which were all taken into account by both the nurses and carers. I was listened to and totally supported alongside Mum and given advise on what to expect. The nurses called the in-house doctor regularly when needed and were able to get immediate advise and medication. Overall, a very friendly care home."

"I am taking this opportunity to comment on the care my friend (and for whom I hold POA) has been receiving at Barchester Longueville Court Care Home. He is content and would not wish to move away. He has to be fed at every meal and the carers do this with patience. The nursing staff are mindful of his needs and he is constantly monitored. Whilst communication is getting increasingly difficult, he is always trying to joke with the staff who clearly have great affection for him. For myself, I am always met with a happy smile at reception and I find the nurses and carers pleasant and easy to deal with despite their busy routines."

"Everyone, including the reception staff, is so welcoming. The care the staff show on Kingfisher is amazing. Not only are they amazing with the staff but with the relatives as well. It is such a difficult time when a family member has to come into a care home but they make you feel at such ease. The nurses and carers get to know and support us all which makes it that little bit easier. The manager is the most caring and hands-on manager, nothing is too much trouble. Carers are so passionate in their job. This is just to name a few but alll staff are amazing. Thank you for the care you provide."

"My sister entered Barchester Longueville Court Care Home on 09/03/2019. Her room was lovely decorated, always clean and smelling nicely. My sister was given the most warm and caring care given by all the staff and difficult times, like Covid, were dealt with professionally and everyone was kept as safe as possible. The family was treated with kindness and respect, was offered refreshments and a very warm greeting, always given at reception."

"As a family, we have been really pleased with the support Mum has received from Longueville Court staff. The atmosphere in the home is lovely, the staff are all very friendly and helpful, and they go above and beyond to provide a welcome and homely place for us to visit and Mum to live. The fact that we know Mum is being looked after 24/7 gives us all peace of mind. There are a variety of activities that Mum loves to join in with, and the staff will make sure she is taken if none of us is able to be there. We love that we can just pop in to see Mum whenever, and the tea/coffee and cake that is always available is wonderful. We are kept informed of any issues or concerns, and the records that are kept of Mum's care are thorough and up to date. All in all, we are so grateful to the whole team, and consider it a privilege that Mum is able to be there. Thank you everyone so much."

"My mother has now been at Longueville Court for nine months and has just celebrated her 104th birthday, with entertainment arranged by the recreation team. My mother loves spicy food, and curry has started to appear on the menu, much to her delight. I am a regular visitor to Longueville Court, and all the staff I have met are friendly and caring and do a difficult and often demanding job to a very high standard."

"My father has been a resident at Longueville Court for the past nine months. He has received good nursing care from the team and appears to be as happy as he can be. Unfortunately, he has very limited movement and speech and is completely dependent on staff for all his activities of daily living. However, this has not proved an obstacle for the fantastic activity team. Last week two members of staff took him to Ferry Meadows and managed to get him into a boat onto the lake, which I know he would have thoroughly enjoyed. A great achievement on their behalf, and I can’t thank them enough for what they have done for him. Thank you so much ladies, as a family, we are extremely grateful to you both for brightening up his life, which I know he would really appreciate."

"Last year, our father had a major stroke causing paralysis, loss of speech and difficulty with eating and consequently requires having all his basic needs cared for around the clock. He moved into this care home in November 2022 and the staff have always shown great kindness, support and consideration to him and to us. We have been particularly impressed with the activity staff who are extremely enthusiastic and go out of their way to help the residents - they are amazing! For example, they have managed to take Dad to Ferry Meadows on a few occasions - this is a place that is very special to him and he used to visit there nearly every day after our mum died. This has meant a lot to him and although he cannot speak, it is obvious that he enjoys these trips. Yesterday, they even managed to get him into a sailing boat which was a huge achievement and something that we didn't think that Dad would ever be able to do again. We cannot thank them enough for their energy, care and dedication."
