Activities at Marriott House and Lodge Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Marriott House and Lodge Care Home
Bingo!
One of the most popular social events at Marriott House and Lodge is bingo. These sessions are held at least once a week and are enjoyed by all.
Bognor Regis
On Wednesday 10th May, we enjoyed a trip to Bognor's seafront for morning coffee. Trips out are arranged on a weekly basis and we visit many places in the local area.
The Arun Sounds Chorus
Residents, visitors and staff members enjoyed a visit from ‘The Arun Sounds Chorus’ on Thursday 18th May. Their performance was enjoyed by all who attended and we hope that they will visit us again later in the year.
The Great Marriott Bake Off
Staff, residents and visitors were challenged to bake a cake to enter into Marriott's big bake off. It was very competitive, with a variety of amazing recipes and designs, ranging from fairy cakes and Dutch cakes to sponge cakes and very elaborate chocolate cakes. Each one was judged for its taste and design by a panel of judges and prizes were awarded for the best of the best.
Fruity Friday - May
On Friday 12th May, we held our monthly Fruity Friday-themed day. Staff and residents dressed in bright clothing and fruit-themed activities were organised. May's activities included smoothie making and juice tasting, which were enjoyed by residents, staff and visitors alike.
National Doughnut Week
On Friday 12th May, we celebrated National Doughnut week. Staff, residents and visitors joined together to enjoy different flavoured doughnuts, including apple and blackcurrant, custard, chocolate and, of course, the more traditional raspberry jam. The whole day was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
