Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:
Nikki Culleton
Hello, my name is Nikki and I am delighted to be the General Manager at Marriott House & Lodge – I have relocated from Cornwall to join the Marriott Family where Chichester is very close to my heart.
I am dedicated and passionate about ensuring a high standard of care and service to all our residents in our beautiful home, where we have wonderful staff who have been at the home for many years. I will continue to ensure all our residents receive person centred care and engaging activities where they all can flourish.

Mark Serrano
Hello, my name is Mark Anthony Serrano and I am the Deputy Manager here at Marriott and lodge. I was recently promoted from my senior nurse position and I am really proud of this achievement. I have over 16 years of nursing experience including working for the NHS.
Apart from the nursing profession, my passions are cooking and sports.
Working in a diverse and multifaceted medical industry have thought me how to value and appreciate collaborative and patient centered care. As the new nurse on the block, I am striving on learning new things, creating lasting memories and continuing my life goal of redefining patient centred care.
Rudo Chavula
Hello, my name is Rudo and I have been part of the clinical team at Marriott House and Lodge since 2005.
I initially joined as a senior carer after previously being a nurse/midwife in my home town of Zambia.
I studied and completed my Mental Health Nursing at the University of Brighton and obtained a BSc Hons in 2014.
I enjoy every aspect of my role here at Marriott and I get huge joy and satisfaction from helping our residents.
Christina Mwenya
My name is Christina, I have worked at Marriott House and Lodge for many years! and I have many years of experience in the Care industry. I am responsible for the day to day running of Marriott Lodge.
I take pride in looking after the resident's day to day requirements and well-being while also managing the care team. Quality of care is always my top priority, and I see my role as ensuring this is delivered in every single way.
In my spare time, I enjoy attending my local church, reading and helping and spending time with my friends and family
Sarah Harding
I have worked at Marriott House and Lodge for over 21 years in a variety of roles.
I started as a Night Care Assistant in 2000, where I then progressed to Senior Care Assistant, within these roles I achieved completion of the Barchester Healthcare Training Academy program and adopted the responsibilities of Care Practitioner.
I have also been able to lead the activities at Marriott, which was a role that I enjoyed due to having such development of the home and encouraging life enrichment with all of our residents.
I am now the Home Administrator, where I am very much involved in the ‘whole home approach’.
Dignity in care is a particular area that I am always keen to promote within the home and I believe that we can all enhance the lives of residents.
Jeff Saunders
My name is Jeff and I am the Head Chef here at Marriott House and Lodge.
I am self-motivated with good knowledge and in-depth understanding in the preparation and presentation of meals with a focus on traditional favourites.
As the Head chef, I take pride in my work and diligent care to ensure daily meals are prepared as per the weekly menu’s requirements. I am a highly organised and have excelled at managing and working closely with the kitchen team and all the staff members to ensure the effective running of the kitchen.
Matt Napier Raikes
Hello, my name is Matt and I am the Head of Maintenance and Health and Safety Champion at Marriott House and Lodge.
I have worked at the home since 2014, initially in the kitchen and housekeeping teams before moving to maintenance team. I have headed up the maintenance department since 2023
My aim is to provide our residents, staff and visitors with a comfortable building, and surroundings they can feel safe and happy in at all times.
Tania Stubbington
Hello, my name is Tania. I am the Head Housekeeper at Marriot House and Lodge. After 20 years of working in children’s residential homes I made the move to adult’s homes and have not looked back. I really enjoy working at Marriot House and Lodge, chatting and singing with residents, and joining creative activities and quizzes. I take great pride in my team's work keeping both the House and Lodge clean and homely.
Clara Hererra
Hi. My name is Clara, I joined the Administration team at Marriott House and Lodge in October 2021. It’s a pleasure to support our residents and to greet their families and friends at the door when they arrive at Reception. I have worked in various administrative roles both in the UK and overseas for the last 8 years and I feel proud and fortunate to be a part of the team at Marriott House and Lodge. In my spare time I study English language at university and teach English as a second language online. I also enjoy netball.
Audrey
Audrey has have lived within the Marriott House and Lodge community for a year and was voted in by fellow residents to take on the role of Resident Ambassador.
The role includes supporting other residents to have a voice within the home. They will meet regularly with the management team and help enhance life at Marriott House and Lodge for all. They will also be involved in the homes community engagement team to help find ways of maintaining and enhancing community involvement.
Audrey said ‘she is privileged to take on the role and help individuals to enjoy life at Marriott House and Lodge’.
Kate Sampson
Hi my name is Kate, I am a Care Practitioner here at Marriott House and Lodge. I have worked at Marriott House for over 20 years and in that time I have worked my way up from a carer to the care practitioner role.
The Barchester Training Academy has helped me further my career; I completed my NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care with them and I am also a qualified NVQ assessor.
I support the nurses here to ensure that care is delivered with dignity and respect, putting our residents at the centre of the support that we provide, with a guarantee that they can continue to live their lives in the way they wish.
I am also the speak up champion for the home I act as a voice for colleagues to express their ideas, develop new ways of working and a pathway for them to report concerns. I regularly meet with the manager to discuss the running of the home from the colleagues perspective.
Jean Collyer
I am proud to be a volunteer at Marriott House and Lodge. I was privileged to be nominated and went on to be crowned Barchester Healthcare's National Volunteer of the Year.
It is my greatest pleasure to be able to support the home regularly throughout the week. I visit individual residents and support the team at Marriott House where I can. I have also been providing a religious service on a Sunday morning.
