Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Hi, My name is Annmarie and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Mount Tryon Care Home. I am passionate about supporting our residents and supporting them to take part in person centered activities. It is important to me that we are encouraging our residents to do the things they enjoy and build a happy, sociable environment for them.

On a stunning day such as today, when our gardens are bathed in the glorious sunshine, and our grape vines are basking in the heat, you can choose either to relax in the cool and peaceful environment of your bedroom or enjoy a little sun and shade outside.
We are all keeping hydrated today and our residents are enjoying cool drinks and Ice Cream.

St Patrick's Day
Residents and staff of Mount Tryon would like to wish all our Irish family and friends Happy St Patricks Day. We had an amazing time today singing Irish songs and telling jokes all whilst enjoying a glass of Guinness. Followed by an afternoon watching river dancing, everyone enjoyed dressing up for the occasion.
Wedding Anniversary
Mount Tryon staff, residents and family members would like to congratulate Alec and Roma on their 66th Wedding Anniversary. Alec and Roma celebrated by enjoying a three course meal with a glass of Prosecco together in our quiet lounge. They were later joined by their two daughters Donna and Susan who helped them continue the celebrations with a beautiful cake made by our sous chef Dan.
Spring is in the air
Residents from Mount Tryon enjoyed some time in the garden today basking in the sunshine. Margaret was helping to clear the raised vegetable beds from weeds, preparing the soil ready for our new season of vegetables.
Year of the Dragon
Mount Tryon welcomed in the Year of the Dragon with a day of celebrations and activities.
The Chinese New Year is China's most important festival that celebrates the beginning of the new year on the traditional lunisolar calendar.
Inspired by Chinese culture and traditions, our residents enjoyed a creative session by drawing around their hands, then making them part of the dragon's body and making beautiful lanterns to mark the day.
We all enjoyed listening to some music from Greater China, watched previous new year celebrations and had a discussion about which animal and year we were born in.
