Activities at Mount Tryon Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Annmarie Scourfield
Hi, My name is Annmarie and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Mount Tryon Care Home. I am passionate about supporting our residents and supporting them to take part in person centered activities. It is important to me that we are encouraging our residents to do the things they enjoy and build a happy, sociable environment for them.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Keeping Active
Here at Mount Tryon, while our ladies had a great sing a long, our gentlemen had a bit of man’s time with playing pool/snooker. Our male carers are always ready to be with our gentlemen, which spurs us off to gentlemen’s afternoon which will become a regular activity here at Mount Tryon.
Ladies Day for Royal Ascot
For ladies day at Royal Ascot we made fascinators to wear on the day with Cheese and Wine.
Then on final day at Royal Ascot we had our own Race course and our own Horses to Race, we had a lovely afternoon.
International Nurses Day
On International Nurses Day, we took time out to celebrate our nurses that work for us here at the home but also all the nurses that work hard out in our community! Thank you!
Dementia Action Week
To celebrate Dementia Action Week, we did a range of activities and one of those was we spent time making memory boxes with our residents. They absolutely loved the activity!
Tanya's 20 years!
We want to say a huge congratulations to Tanya, the home's Admin Manager. She recently celebrated 20 years at Mount Tryon. We want to thank her for her continued dedication to our residents, their families and her team.
The WI Donated us Twiddle Muffs!
The Devon WI have been so generous, they have made us twiddle muffs to give to our residents living with dementia. The residents absolutely love them!
