Meet the Ochil Care Home Team
Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:
Elizabeth Stewart
Hi, my name is Elizabeth, and I am the General Manager here at Ochil Care Home. I hope you find what you're looking for on our website!
I joined the team at Ochil on 13th June 2017 and have been a qualified general nurse for over 30 years. I have managed care homes for over a decade in Wales, England and now Scotland.
I completed the Registered Managers Award qualification in 2010 and also have a HABC Level 3 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace (Merit).
Please do come and see me – my door is always open!
Leeann Thomson
Hi. I am Leeann Thomson. I took up post as Deputy General Manager in June 2023. I have been a registered nurse for 19 years, prior to this I was a care assistant for 2 years.
I have spent most of my career in the NHS as a theatre nurse and have worked in care homes as a Deputy Manager for the last 3 years. I look forward to supporting Liz and working with all of the team to ensure our residents are well cared for.
Elspeth Campbell
Although I haven’t quite travelled the world yet (!) I have enjoyed my 31 years as a Registered Nurse in London, Dundee, Brighton, Isle of Guernsey and Perth. I joined the team at Ochil in 2003, not intending to stay that long but I’m still here!!
I was promoted to Senior Nurse in August 2017 and look forward with optimism to leading a great team with new energy. A new chapter in promoting great care infused with lots of laughter!
Wendy Kerr
I have been a Registered Nurse since 2007 and joined the team at Ochil in 2015. I was promoted to the role of Senior Nurse in August 2017.
Kathleen Watson
I am the Charge Nurse of the Memory Lane Community here at Ochil. I have been a Registered General Nurse for 30 years, with 15 years of experience caring for people with Dementia. I gained a Level 1 Dementia Care qualification several years ago. I have been in post at Ochil since 2014.
Rodica Dumitras
I have been a Registered Nurse for over 35 years. I was a Pediatric Nurse for 27 years in my home country of Romania and I moved to the UK and took up post as a Registered Nurse at Ochil in 2011, and was promoted to Charge Nurse in August 2018. I love my job and look forward to coming to work every day.
Stacey Rylance
Hi, I’m Stacey , Home Administrator . I have worked at Ochil for the last 10 years as Administrative Assistant until being promoted to Home Administrator in September 2022. I am thoroughly enjoying my new role. Please do not hesitate to come and see me , I’m always happy to help
Patrycja Dwojak
Hi, I’m Patrycja and am very excited to be a part of the amazing team at Ochil.
I have been working as an Activities Co-ordinator for the last 2 years, always making sure that the programme of activities and events provide a source of fun and laughter and helps each resident to live their life to the full. Please do feel free to come and be part of it with your loved ones
Anne Horsburgh
Hello, my name is Anne and I’m the Head Chef here at Ochil. I have worked in the catering industry for over 30 years. I started in schools – mostly primary schools – in Scotland and England.
I returned to Perth in 2008, which is when I got my first job role in the care sector – a huge change for me! It was very challenging, but also very rewarding .
I took up my post at Ochil in November 2017 and aim to provide the highest standard of food for those we support.
Norrie Morrison
Hello, my name is Norrie , I took up post as Head of Maintenance in November 2022 . I am responsible for all maintenance and compliance with Health & Safety in the home. I have many years experience in property maintenance in the private care sector. I believe the smallest of jobs can make the biggest difference to our residents lives here at Ochil.
Linda Cargill
Hi, I am Linda, Head of Housekeeping at Ochil. I had worked in the hospitality sector for 25 years in a Perth leisure facility until being made redundant due to the pandemic in November 202. At the same time there was a vacancy for a Housekeeper at Ochil which I thought I would try. It has worked out very well for me and in October 2021 I was promoted to Head of Housekeeping . It is a challenging but very rewarding job
