Activities at Oulton Park Care Home
We have a wonderful team here at Oulton Park and we all work together to provide a stimulating, active environment for our residents that live here. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas for our residents to be part of here, and our activities coordinator works very hard on planning and providing a stimulating busy schedule of activities, as well as assisting the residents with their daily living preferences. We have regular meetings with our families and residents to make sure we are providing things to suit their preferences. We as a home are registered with the National Activity Providers Association and strive to provide a person-centred approach for our residents here.
Louise Hunter-Hall
Hello my name is Louise, I am the life enrichment and activities coordinator at Oulton park care centre.
I joined Oulton Park late 2023 but I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years and I have a compassion for my role and work. During the 20years I have supported many different adults with different care needs including, nursing care, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, independent living and 1:1 needs. I have both my level 2&3 in care and level 2 in sign language.
At Oulton my role is to create and organise a range of engaging and meaningful activities. My role brings me a great deal of comfort and joy.
If I can just make 1 persons life better during my working day at Oulton Park then the day has been a success. I feel honoured, fortunate and blessed to do the job I do.

Life at Oulton Park Care Home
Smile Board
Friends of Oulton park have been busy sending through wonderful pictures and letters to our residents. Displayed here are some from our friends at the Brownies and some of the local schools. This Smile board is keeping the mood in the home high and it is so lovely to hear from the outside community.

Keeping in Touch!
Here at Oulton Park we were delighted to receive some hand made cards from a local nursery school who usually visits the home every week. It really did put a smile on our residents faces. Our residents love receiving messages, cards and emails so if anybody would like to write to our residents we would be delighted to receive them!
Oulton Park Raises £754 for charity
Oulton Park care centre near to Lowestoft recently presented Alzheimer’s Society with a cheque for £754 to help support those living with dementia in the local community. The care home raised this by completing a ‘Memory Walk’ of over three miles – residents, staff and volunteers took part in the walk, all to raise money for this great cause.
The care home welcomed Valerie and Alice from Alzheimer’s Society to the home for the cheque presentation and for a tour of the Memory Lane Community.
Jackie Tayler, General Manager at Oulton Park, said: “We are always keen to show as much support as we can to local charities. Alzheimer’s Society support so many local families and also do a brilliant job of raising awareness about Dementia so that more people are understanding of what it is like to live with Dementia.”
Disney Themed Day!
