Activities at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

My name is Ellie and I am Head of Activities here at Prestbury Beaumont. I completed my studies in Sociology at the University of Sheffield last year and recently joined this wonderful team at the beginning of 2024. As part of my role, I am responsible for planning enjoyable and engaging activities that foster a happy and joyful environment for the residents. I dedicate myself to ensure that the residents feel fulfilled and enthusiastic about participating in the wide array of diverse and person-centred activities I organise for them. I am deeply passionate about my role as I derive great joy from assisting others and strive to uphold Barchester’s high standards.

A fond farewell

Today we said goodbye to our activities Co-Ordinator, Olivia! Olivia has been part of the Prestbury Beaumont team for two years, we wish her all the best in her new venture in the New Year!

“I have loved every moment at Prestbury Beaumont and I am going to miss everyone so much! I will forever cherish the memories I have made working with our residents and our amazing team!”

Fish and chip treat

As a special Christmas treat today our residents and staff enjoyed a proper fish and chip takeaway from the local George’s at Thornton Square! A huge thank you to the whole team at George’s for the amazing fish and chips and helping us make the whole thing run smoothly!

Christmas party

It has been our Christmas party this afternoon at Prestbury Beaumont! The kitchen put on an amazing selection of treats for our residents, including salmon and soy bites, sausages rolls, quiche and chocolate orange brownie!   Of course all finished off with a sherry and Buck’s Fizz, we’re all nicely in the spirit for Christmas next week!

Christmas wreath competition

Staff and residents at Barchester’s Prestbury Beaumont Care Community, in Prestbury, have been decking the halls, getting out the tinsel and unravelling the fairy lights, ready for a whole host of Christmas celebrations.

Prestbury Beaumont’s residents and staff have been busy creating lots of home-made wreaths, paper chains and baubles to make the home as festive as can be.  The staff have also been crafting home-made wreaths for their Christmas competition, following on from the success from their pumpkin Competition in October. Each department crafted a wreath and using the power of Facebook we picked a winner – our kitchen staff!
