Activities at Reigate Beaumont Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising and delivering a fun mix of activities and events chosen by the residents here at Reigate Beaumont. We work closely with the local community who get involved in all kinds of activities within the home. We enjoy all kinds of events which could be anything from trips out to local places of interest in our minibus or visits from entertainers and musicians, spending time in our beautiful gardens, or providing great activities for the mind body and soul. We liaise with local churches and regularly hold multi-congregational services at the home.
It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and invite them to our regular events. We also have a variety of volunteers who really enjoy spending time within the home too.

Jamie Ward
Activities Coordinator
My name is Jamie, though I prefer to go by Jay.
I’ve been working in Activities and Wellbeing for almost 12 years, and I truly take pride in making a positive difference in people’s lives — even if it’s simply through a smile. I’m a compassionate person with a lot of love and care to give, which inspires me every day to focus on the wellbeing and happiness of the residents I support.
A little about me personally — I’m a huge Disney fan (some might say too big a fan!), a vocalist, an avid reader, a gamer, and I love ice skating. I’m excited to continue giving my best to the residents and families here, helping to make every day as joyful and meaningful as possible.
Celebrating life at Reigate Beaumont Care Home

A Touch Of Theatre Magic
What a show! We had an absolutely wonderful time welcoming the Yellow Brick Theatre Company to Reigate Beaumont this week! Their performance brought the lounge to life with music, laughter and a touch of theatre magic. Our residents were singing along, clapping in time, and sharing plenty of smiles — it was a true celebration of joy, talent and togetherness. From the fabulous costumes to the heartfelt storylines and toe-tapping tunes, the Yellow Brick Theatre team truly know how to brighten a day

Art Work from Micklefield School
Art Work from Micklefield School – A huge thank you to the incredibly talented Year 6 art students from Micklefield School in Reigate!
The children recently visited Reigate Beaumont to meet our residents, take photos, and ask what they would love to see captured in artwork. With such care and creativity, the students then worked together to bring these ideas to life in two beautiful paintings.
Our residents were absolutely delighted to see their ideas transformed into such colourful and thoughtful pieces. It was a wonderful way to connect across generations, and we are so grateful for the joy and creativity the pupils have shared with us.

Birthday celebrations
At Reigate Beaumont, birthdays are always worth celebrating – no matter the date! One of our lovely residents had his birthday in August, but his family could only all come together today, 20th September. To make the day extra special, his daughters asked for a watch-themed cake because he’s a big fan of watches.
Our amazing hospitality team rose to the challenge and created a wonderful cake that looked just like a watch – and the smile on his face said it all.

Garden Centre Trip!
This week, some of our residents enjoyed a delightful outing to the local garden centre! With the sun shining and spirits high, we spent a relaxing morning exploring beautiful blooms, browsing garden treasures, and soaking in the fresh air.
Of course, no trip would be complete without a stop at the café for tea, cake, and a good chat.

Heartfelt Feedback from a Resident’s Family
We’re delighted to share a heartfelt video from the daughter of a resident who has called Reigate Beaumont her home for more than seven years.
She says Reigate Beaumont truly stands out – offering a warm welcome, incredible staff who bring out the best in residents, fantastic trips out and activities for both residents and families, and delicious varied food.
Thank you so much for the kind words. We’re truly grateful and feel privileged to be able to look after each resident.

Silent disco
Silent Disco Fun at Reigate Beaumont!
Our residents had an amazing time at today’s Silent Disco with the wonderful Zena! The room was full of smiles, singing, and dancing as everyone got into the music.

Exotic encounters
Our residents had an unforgettable afternoon thanks to the wonderful Exotic Encounters experience, led by the brilliant Callum Baker.
From the moment the lizard made its appearance, smiles and laughter filled the room. Many of our residents loved the chance to get up close with these amazing creatures—stroking, holding, and learning all about their fascinating habits.
Moroccan themed lunch
Today our residents and staff were treated to a taste of Morocco! We enjoyed a delicious Moroccan-themed lunch, beautifully prepared by our amazing kitchen team.
After lunch, we gathered to watch the classic film Casablanca, which brought smiles, memories, and a touch of Hollywood glamour to the afternoon.
Spirit of Summer
We held a wonderful Summer Garden Party — the sun was shining, the garden looked beautiful in full bloom, and the sound of live music and Morris dancers filled the air. Everyone enjoyed a delicious BBQ, ice creams to cool off, and most importantly, the joy of being together. We were also delighted to welcome the Mayor of Reigate, who kindly joined us to help mark this special occasion.
We were also treated to a visit from The Funky Fiddler, whose brilliant mandolin playing and heartfelt singing brought smiles all round. Residents joined in with singing, clapping, and even a bit of dancing — it was such a feel-good afternoon and a real highlight for many.
And, of course, it’s not all just about relaxing — our residents have been active too, taking part in some fun and gentle exercise sessions that got everyone moving and laughing together. It’s been a lovely time here, full of connection, music, and sunshine — and I hope these photos bring a little bit of that to you too.
