Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:
Gayle Magennis
Hi, my name is Gayle and I am the General Manager here at Seaview. Welcome to our website!

Zoe Rothera
My name’s Zoë, I’ve worked at Barchester for the past 8 years; doing this alongside my University studies. I lead the Girnigoe Team and work with all departments to ensure the smooth running of the unit.
I have a passion for ensuring excellent standards of care and ensuring that clients have a first class experience at Seaview. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering for local organisations and giving something back to the community as well as keeping active and enrolling myself on local fundraising challenges.
Elaine Edwards
My name is Elaine and I started working at Seaview in 1999; as a care assistant. I now lead the Morven team; striving to ensure that all clients and their families have a positive experience during their dementia journeys. I highly enjoy working in the care environment and with many years’ experience; I try to support all members of my team to ensure the highest quality of care is achieved.
In my spare time, I’m a dedicated ‘granny’ and I also enjoy keeping active, often taking my grandchildren with me on long walks and local fundraising challenges to support local causes.
Barbara Smith
Barbara has been the Administrator at Seaview since 2013. She has many years’ experience in administration, formerly working at the head office of a Highland haulage firm for over 20 years before joining Seaview.
She is a keen shower of the Gordon Setter breed of dog and can add Crufts to her long list of accolades in the dog showing circuit.
Mandy Wilson
Mandy has worked for Barchester since 1998. At first as a carer and then in 2004 as the activities coordinator for Seaview. She is passionate about helping people who live at Seaview get the very best out of their day and actively promotes the resident’s monthly committee.
Diane Hornidge
Diane has worked at Seaview since 2011 and is a passionate about the cleanliness of Seaview. She strives every day to ensure that each area of the home is cleaned to an excellent standard.
