Tracy Catterall
Hi, my name is Tracy, and I am the General Manager here at Sherwood Lodge. Welcome to our website!
I have worked in care since 2000. I started working nights as a Carer, then I had a ten year break to raise my family. I then went back to work in a home that provided EMI care, before moving on to complete my NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care to become a Senior Carer. I started at Sherwood Lodge in October 2018 with the role as Head of Care. I was later promoted to Deputy Manager, and then recently I was appointed as the General Manager for Sherwood Lodge, I am enjoying every aspect of my new role.

Hello, my name is Halle fallows; I am the Activities Coordinator here at Sherwood Lodge.
I have a degree in Theatre & Performance & have a creative approach to Activities.
During my time at university, I facilitated creative activities with non-vulnerable & vulnerable adults this sparked my interest to work with residents in the care sector, as I believe everyone should be in touch with their creative side.
I love my role as every day is different, I try my best to make the residents happy by always changing the day to day to bring out the best in our residents.
Liam Brotherton
Hi, my name is Liam and I have worked for Barchester since 2019. I am the Head Chef here at Sherwood Lodge. Prior to joining the team at Sherwood Lodge, I have worked at sister home Sherwood Court starting off as a Kitchen Assistant where I also learned more about cooking from the homes Head Chef.
I was very keen to learn and discovered I had a passion for cooking. I learnt a lot and progressed to 2nd Chef at another sister home, Dovedale Court. I furthered my skills and knowledge whilst in this post and how to manage a kitchen and its running. Barchester has given me career progression and following another promotion, I am now Head Chef here at the home and really enjoying my role.
I enjoy all aspects of cooking and creating lovely nutritious food for all of our residents varying tastes and dietary requirements.
Lee Riley
I am the Head of Maintenance here at Sherwood Lodge and also at Sherwood Court. One of the best things about working in a care environment is that you are helping residents and families and trying to make their lives a little bit easier. Knowing that you make a difference to people's day provides a real sense of achievement.
Bridget Lawrenson
I have been working at Sherwood Lodge since 2010, starting off as a care assistant, and I am now the head housekeeper. Previous to my work here, I worked in the community as a support worker and, before that, that I worked in the hotel sector. I enjoy my role here at Sherwood Lodge, and I have a strong and reliable team working beside me. Sherwood Lodge is a happy and relaxed place to be and work.
Louise Thompson
My name is Louise, and I am the Admin Assistant here at Sherwood Lodge.
After working in a GP surgery for the NHS for 27 years, I felt I could bring all those experiences to the role of Assistant Administrator at Sherwood Lodge.
In those years I have helped, gave information and offered service’s to those whom needed it, booking appointments, prescription requests, form filling, services information and lots more.
So many elderly patients liked to see a familiar welcoming face. And so many of these became friends as did many colleagues after working together for many years.
I personally experienced my mum going into a care home for respite with Dementia, and stayed for 18 months, sadly she passed away in July 2023. This experience also made me feel comfortable in my new working environment.
I am enjoying my new role, the challenges, learning new things, meeting new colleagues and making new friends.
Nnamdi Ossai
My name is Nnamdi and I am the head of care at Sherwood lodge.
I have worked as a volunteer care coordinator for 8 years before relocating to the UK. My greatest inspiration to being a caregiver is my late mother and my Christian beliefs.

I have a level 5 Diploma in leadership and management in adult care and I am currently pursuing a level 7 diploma in strategic management and leadership.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in pure physics.
I also have an advanced certificate in project management.
I started working with Barchester in 2022 as a care assistant, then as a senior carer and now the head of care/wellbeing champion.
I embody Barchester’s values and I drive best practices.

The care team is super important and my job is to make sure that the team stays mentally strong, highly motivated, well equipped and highly efficient.
I love to see that each resident is cared for in a person centred way and that our care team remains happy while carrying out their duties.
Pam Wareing
I originally started at Sherwood Lodge as a member of the Housekeeping team in August 2021, before transferring to the role of Hostess.
I really enjoy my role, as I get to spend quality time with the residents and their families each and every day. My role includes serving breakfast and lunch, to offering refreshments throughout the day and making sure everyone always has a cup of tea and a biscuit to hand. I'm the first port of call for making sure everybody always feels at home.
