"Having to put my Mam into a care home has been heartbreaking but the staff at this care home have made things so much easier. Every single member of staff goes out of their way to make sure everyone is well looked after and cared for even if it’s just being there for my Mam to talk to. If you are thinking of putting your loved one in this care home I highly recommend it! I can’t thank the staff enough."

"My husband has been in for 1 month. They have lowered the age to 60 years for him. He has settled well and I also feel at home when I go to visit. Always made very welcome. The staff are all local people and always smile, speak and remember our names and are always very helpful, understanding, kind and compassionate."

"On entering this home for the first time, I got an instant vibe that it was friendly, caring and clean. My mam has been a resident for three months now and we, her family, have never seen her happier. The staff are all very caring, approachable and friendly and they treat all their resident with dignity and care. The home is lovely, clean and everyone is always happy. The food is lovely and I like that there is a choice for breakfast, lunch etc."

"This is a new experience for me, unfortunately, I have had to learn very quickly because of the way my mother's health turned around. We had my mother-in-law in this home some ten years ago and always thought it was the right place for her. The staff are all very professional and kind and always have a smile on their faces when we go in to visit. the place itself is nipping clean with no smell which was one of the things I dreaded. Mother can be a bit awkward at times but the staff took it all on board and spent a lot of time encouraging her to mix. The food always smells nice and my mother has never complained, she is a very fussy eater but she seems to eat well, as I can see she is putting weight on. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff collect her washing and returns it the next day which is great. We honestly cannot say enough good things about this place or the staff. It's such a relief that we now know Mother is well looked after and safe."

"I have only been in since May. The regular staff are lovely but agency are not so good. Day shift is better than night shift. The entertainment is good when we have it (or activities) but needs to be more regular. My room is cleaned every day and is spotless. The lounge is my least favourite place, it is too small. This is a lovely place though, I feel safe."

"So far my experience with Springvale Court Care Home has been excellent. The staff are all lovely. My dad has settled in very well here. I feel he is getting the care he needs. I know he is safe and there is no way he can get out. He is getting well fed and the food always looks really good and I know he enjoys what he gets as he usually has seconds! Overall I am happy with Dad's care."

"My 92-year-old Mam has just been in Springvale for 2 weeks of respite care. We can't thank all the care staff and the home administrator for giving us the opportunity for a break. All the care staff made Mam very welcome and settled her into her short-term home so that we didn't have any worries about going on holiday. Her care was excellent. Springvale is so clean with great facilities and activities we can't fault the care at all. Mam especially enjoyed the activities that the Activities Coordinator had arranged and even came out with sparkly nails which she loved! We really appreciated all that everybody did for Mam! Thank You!"

"Really pleased with the care being given to my mam. The staff are pleasant and patient with mam - who can be difficult at times. Although she has only been in Springvale for a short time, her health and appearance have greatly improved. This is all down to the lovely staff."

"My mother has been a resident in Springvale Court for the last six years. In this time, she has always been treated with respect and dignity. Over recent months, her health has deteriorated, but her care has been excellent. All the staff, from the care manager to the cleaning staff, are so respectful. Couldn't wish for a better place for my mother to end her life."

"We liked this home for my aunt with dementia for several reasons. Firstly, it was very clean. Secondly, it was a nice size, not too big, and felt homely. Thirdly, they have a separate unit upstairs, so when her Alzheimer's progress, at least she will only have to go upstairs and well recognise the staff. It has been a difficult time with Covid, but Barchester has sent regular emails to keep families involved."

"My uncle was admitted into Springvale earlier this month. To say we were made welcome as a family is an understatement. The manager and staff have been absolutely amazing, making us feel at ease with everything and including us in decisions. As hard as it has been for my aunt, we feel we could not have chosen anywhere better than Springvale Court. Thank you."

"The staff are caring towards my mam and supportive with family issues if any. Mam recently broke her hip and required hospital admission and operation then recovery, the staff were amazing and very attentive. I don't know anything about the food and drinks but the juices/tea and coffee trolley is always about. I have not seen the activities in a while but I don't think mam would attend."

"Mam came in 5 days before lockdown in March. I felt guilty and worried about her. The staff reassured me and put up with me keep phoning. Mam is doing great, she is well looked after, safe and even better now we can have regular visits."

"My Mother-in-Law is happy and healthy and more importantly, content. All the staff I have come into contact with have been pleasant and efficient. My Mother-in-Law obviously likes the staff and trusts them. At 92 she looks healthier and content since taking up residence. I personally feel she is safe and well looked after. I am kept up to date on her welfare."

"Visiting the new suite for visits under the Covid 19 rules. Staff explained before we entered the room. Mam was waiting and staff left us to talk which was great but only through the glass with a speaker. This was a wonderful visit after not seeing her for so long, only contact has been phone calls to Mam. I can only say well done to everyone for their care and attention to everyone. Looking forward to our next visit."

"My mother has been in Springvale Court for nearly four years. I looked at a lot of homes before deciding this care home was the best for my mum. It has a lovely feel about it, more like a hotel than a care home. The staff, on the whole, are helpful, caring, friendly and efficient. The management is helpful and understanding. Obviously, over the years, I have had one or two minor issues, but dealt with quickly and efficiently. Plus new coordinator who seems to have good ideas."

"The care my mother-in-law receives from here is second to none, staff do an amazing job, especially under the trying times of Covid. They have kept families updated throughout and are always happy for you to ring and talk to your loved ones, the garden visits are a success with great social distance in place to protect the residents. Can not thank them enough for the care my mother-in-law receives."

"Mam had been in Springvale for two and a bit years, and prior to the coronavirus, I used to visit each day. The home has a pleasant, caring atmosphere, and is maintained to a high standard. The staff support residents to keep a high standard of personal care and attention to their appearance. The staff engage the residents in activities on a regular basis. Over the past weeks, the staff have kept me informed of how Mam is coping with the lockdown, and they support her to speak to me on the phone. I can only say that staff have gone above and beyond their role to keep the home safe. Well done."

"Early days as yet. Mam has only been a resident in this care home for 5 weeks. Food is significantly better than in her previous home. Care levels seem OK to date. Staff friendly and helpful. They don't seem to get adequate showers as I think that it should be once a week minimum (although I believe that they are regularly washed all over with a flannel)"

"Myself, partner and family were very happy knowing our Father was going to be a resident at Springvale Court Care Home. We were extremely happy with the care and support he received whilst staying at this home. We could see how happy and content he was on every visit. Dad was enjoying all the delicious meals that were on offer at every meal time and staff informed us he was eating very well. The home and interior surroundings were always clean and tidy. Staff and management were always friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem, always happy to help."

"The home itself gives off a pleasant atmosphere. Very friendly staff and residents, nice aroma too! The meals are great with lots of choice and cater for anyone with allergies, dislikes etc. Rooms are a nice size, with en-suite too. My father is happy and content living here which settles me so I am happy too."

"My father has lived in the above care home for a number of years. I feel my father does get the care that he should. Dad is settled and content normally the staff are very nice. My father doesn't like his personal space invaded so difficult to change his clothes so this an issue which is being sorted. We now have a key worker who dad likes and is great with him to change, shave and is also bathing him."

"So impressed with all needs cared for. Has a lovely, happy vibe and management and staff are great. From the initial visit, they were so welcoming and informative. All staff are so pleasant and nothing is too much bother for them. Have seen so much improvement in my brother since his arrival, he is well cared for and likes the staff and his very pleasant room and food. He gets involved with all activities and outings and enjoys them very much, he says they are so good to him. Couldn't be in a better place."

"Generally staff are lovely, however, they can be dismissive when suggestions around care are made. My grandmother is always well dressed and looks well cared for, however, it's evident, her hair isn't always brushed. Meal options are well amended to my nanas taste so she is never left hungry - cleaners could make more of an effort to have a 'general tidy round' of her room as mouldy fruit was found in the fruit bowl ready to eat.. loads of activities for my nan to get involved in."
