Our staff are what hold the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring that residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home. See below to meet some of our friendly faces:
Jenny Rafemoyo
Hello, my name is Jenny, and I am the General Manager at St Thomas’.
I joined the St Thomas team in September 2024 and have experience managing both nursing and residential care homes. My passion for caring for people living with dementia began around eight years ago. At St Thomas, my aim is to create a safe and loving environment for those living with dementia while promoting choice and encouraging independence.
In 2020, I completed a Diploma in Management in Health and Social Care, and in 2023, I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Care. I am currently studying for a Level 7 qualification in Senior Leadership.
I take pride in fostering a positive working culture and aim to inspire the St Thomas team to reach their full potential within Barchester through education, practical experience, and mentoring. At St Thomas, we have a highly skilled team of care, nursing, and ancillary staff.
As General Manager, I strive to empower the team to provide high-quality, person-centered care while ensuring our residents’ lives are fulfilled, regardless of physical limitations.
St Thomas has a fantastic activity team that ensures every day is different in our home, offering an extensive array of events and life enrichment opportunities. Our activities team is always looking for new and innovative ways to promote independence and enjoyment.
At St Thomas, we understand that having a loved one in a care home can be a challenging time. Therefore, we welcome families and friends into the home like family, and our staff are always on hand to support relatives through what we know can be a confusing experience.
Sharon Izzard
Hello, my name is Sharon, and I am the home's Deputy Manager, and a Registered Nurse, proudly educated at Southampton University.
My career in the health sector began in the community, where I developed a strong foundation in patient care. Since then, I have advanced through several key roles, including Senior Nurse, Clinical Lead, and Registered Manager with CQC oversight. My expertise encompasses Community Nursing, Palliative Care, and Dementia Care, all of which fuel my passion for delivering exceptional care.
As Deputy Manager, I am committed to ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care. This role allows me to assist in managing the home while dedicating quality time to our residents. I strive to make sure each day is filled with purpose, surrounded by family, friends, and the extended family we create here at St Thomas’. Together, we foster a warm, nurturing environment where everyone feels valued and cared for.
Sony Thomas
Hello, I’m Sony and I am the Clinical Lead Nurse here at St Thomas. I have been working with the team here since 2023 and I truly enjoy working with such a fantastic team and caring for the wonderful residents living here at St Thomas.

Queenly Edem Tamakloe
Hi, I’m Edem, I’ve been working a St Thomas for just over a year now. It’s such an incredible home and everyone is so lovely, staff and residents alike.
Charlie Burns

I'm Charlie and I am the Activities Lead here at St Thomas. I have worked for Barchester since 2017, and have recently transferred here to the wonderful St Thomas Care Home.
I enjoy delivering enriching and fun activities to the residents here and am looking forward to meeting you!
Imre Olah
Hi! I’m Imre, the Head of Maintenance at St Thomas Care Home, and I started here in April 2021. I have worked in care home maintenance for Barchester in another home and always strive to keep a high standard of maintenance so that residents can be proud of the home they live in. I enjoy interacting with residents and involving them in our day-to-day routine when possible.

Hi, My name is Carmen and I am the Head Housekeeper at St Thomas's Care Home. I have worked for the home for 6 years and i was recently promoted to Head of department this year. I really enjoy working at St Thomas's with our residents and my team.

Theresa Von Gordon
Theresa has been working with us for just over a year now at St Thomas. Theresa’s favourite part about working at St Thomas is “having the pleasure to meet and greet families and visitors as they enter our lovely home.”
Sikka Rai
Sikka is one of our wonderful senior care assistants. She has been with us at St Thomas for 5 years now and says that he favourite part of working at St Thomas is “the sense of team work and getting to know the residents and their families. It’s a joy.”
Delphine Chi
Delphine has recently started with us at St Thomas and has already demonstrated herself as a wonderful addition to our team. Delphine says that her favourite part about working at St Thomas is “the inspiring nurses and carers, understanding management and the lovely residents.”
